--KELLIE COATES GILBERT, Author of the Texas Gold Collection and the Sun Valley Series
"One of my go-to authors. Excellent writing in a multilayered look at a far from a perfect family. Each character has early issues that cause problems later in life. Real-life kinds of interactions between the parents and children with plenty that a reader can learn from and apply in their own lives."
--CHRISTINE DILLON, author of Grace in Strange Disguise and sequels.
"Brenda Anderson's realistic, flawed characters and messy life situations drag the reader on a roller coaster ride of emotions in this story of what happens when the strong one everyone leans on begins to spiral. A page turning tale of one woman's journey of relinquishing control and finding her true self."
--Award-winning author, SHANNON TAYLOR VANNATTER

Thank you for this wonderful book and for reminding this independent, self-sufficient woman that God is always there to help carry my burdens, because I know that I am not strong enough to carry them all myself. He may actually put more on me than I can bear, but it because He is always there to help.
Take time to read this book, you will be very glad you did.
At about 70% the central character, Debbie, finally makes a decision and the story at last has purpose and direction. Hallelujah! From there to the end it’s like reading a different book - it flows, has energy and people are acting like their faith is more than words.
I was frustrated for much of this book. It’s a prequel so perhaps book 1 is better. I hope so📚
As a new child is found to have Down's Syndrome, emotions broiled over. Could a dad accept the child who wouldn't be the same as other children? Could the child's mother help her husband accept and live their child? Can God bring the family back together? You'll love the messages and the story.
I read this one again and it was so much more a beautiful story than the first time. I could feel the struggles going on with the characters. It was so real and more now, I could relate to them. Read this one again! I can guarantee that if your heart is right, it will hold you until the end. If your in a struggle, God will use his love to heal you again. A must read!
Debbie is a strong character, who strives to be perfect but discovers she has flaws just like the rest of us. You could feel the pain and insecurities with Jerry and the battles he faces knowing his daughter will have the same disease that stole a son from him previously. With that being said, I feel the author let his insecurities linger too long. He would snap out of it, vow to be a better husband then bam, he was back to feeling sorry for himself, after several views of this, it just got tiring which prevented a five star rating.

I received a free download of this book from the publisher. This review is my own honest opinion.
She loves family and hope her two brothers could speak each other friendly, someday.
She is a super-mom, always helping others, listening family and friends in need.
"When the foundation's uneven, it's easy for rock to chip"
Love Ricky character, he is Debbie brother and her confident, he is a single, free, succes, wealthy, multi-fiancee man,
but with a big good heart and humorous.
There are a lot of other one words but this one hits the mark. It's a story about a family who has to remember that with God all things are possible, God never gives us something he knows we can't handle, I have said it for years. Reading this story has reminded me how wonderful life really is even through the losses of loved ones. We must remember each day is a gift. I pray each person who reads this knows that no matter where the road takes you God is always with you.
I give this book 5 stars, it's rare that I ever give so many, there is always a mistake, there is always something that puts me off, but this story I could not fault because of the message with in the book.
Never forget sometimes the best things in life are free. Love from the father.
