About Pierre Rautenbach
Pierre Rautenbach holds a PhD in Computer Science and is the author of the textbook, 3D Game Programming Using DirectX 10 and OpenGL. Pierre is affiliated with the Computer Science Department of the University of Pretoria (www.cs.up.ac.za) and is actively involved in the fields of real-time rendering and distributed computing. Some of his research outputs include a hybrid shadow rendering algorithm and an environmentally adaptive CPU/GPU unifying rendering engine. Pierre also heads the technical analysis firm, Dr. H.R. Rautenbach and Associates (Pty) Ltd (www.rautenbach-associates.com).
