The pictures in the paperback weren't as glossy as the hardcover library edition and it detracted a bit from the overall enjoyment, but not enough to keep me from purchasing the rest of the series.
I have been crediting much of Pieter Bruegel's art to Hieronymus Bosch, an artist who very much inspired Bruegel. His work ranged from gorgeous landscapes to twisted proverbs (a short saying that that teaches a lesson). My daughter and I both laughed when we read "people thought that he was just a fun-loving artist who wanted to make people laugh." Really? Were they looking at the same paintings we were?? I very much enjoyed learning a bit about Bruegel, an artist ahead of his time, who's life little is known about.
