Zoe Michaels lives with her boyfriend, Chase Hilliard, and their two best friends, Brody McNamara and Tate Winslow. Zoe and Chase have an extraordinary sex life and often shared their most sensual sexual fantasies at night. After Zoe creates one of Chase's fantasies for his birthday, he decides to reciprocate with a fantasy involving additional men. He involves Brody and Chase in the adventure.

The title of the anthology (this story is included in Four Play) is appropriate for this story as it involves the relationship between the Zoe, Chase and their two roommates. It goes well beyond a menage scenario as they continue to explore other fantasies. Chase and Zoe are completely uninhibited but the relationships begin to strain after a while.

It's well written and the complexity of the characters make it interesting beyond the sexual exploits. This is as sexually explicit a story as I've ever read so take that as a warning if that makes you uncomfortable. The emotional strains placed on each of them will surprise you and draw you into the story. It is well done.

Note that characters from Seducing Simon appear in this story.

Pillow Talk the story in this novella by Maya Banks stars Zoe our heroine and three hot heroes Chase, Brody and Tate. The four of them have been friends for a long time and currently live in one house. Zoe and Chase are in a relationship. Zoe and Chase enjoy an adventurous sex life and one night during one of their steamy nights they reveal some of their deeper and kinkier sexual fantasies. Zoe decides to fulfill one of Chase's fantasy and gets help from Brody and Tate in setting up this fantasy. Let's just say it involves Zoe stripping and an audience of Chase's fellow fire fighters. Chase absolutely loved Zoe fulfilling his fantasy and decides to return the favor. Chase also enlists Brody and Tate's help. Zoe's fantasy involves being captured and forced to pleasure several men. This is where the story starts to pick up because Chase enlist Brody and Tate to be the other men sexing Zoe. After this the relationship between the four friends take a turn. Zoe starts to develop feelings for Brody and Tate. The three continue to ummmm....share Zoe. Other fantasies are fulfilled and things become a bit complicated. Can Zoe go back to being just with Chase or could the four of them make it work?

I was very excited when I saw this novella being pimped on Maya's "Coming Soon" page back in September. Some minor characters from one of her earlier books Seducing Simon make small appearances in this story. Seducing Simon was the first book that I read by Maya that started my addiction with her books. The heroes from Pillow Talk are fire fighters at the same station as the hero from Seducing Simon. She had left some secondary characters hanging from Seducing Simon that I've been wanting stories for so I was excited to see them making minor appearances in this story.

Not the best Maya Banks. I don't expect a lot of realism, but characters have to be somewhat believable to make it readable in my opinion. Don't get me wrong the sex scenes were not too bad, if you could get past the extreme male douchy-ness of Brody, Tate and Chase. The three meat heads with more female emotions than any chick I've ever met, I was waiting for their male parts to fall off and grow inward. The girl wasn't much better. The males were a total turn off for me, they were super fake. Maybe it just didn't do it for me because it's not my fantasy to have all the men I share a fantasy with to fall in love with me and live with me(I mean really live with 3 men?? I'm sure it's someones fantasy but not mine, one is MORE than enough!!) Plus the end was so barfy, and the only thing that got me to skim through without puking was the chance at one more hot sex scene, but sadly there wasn't one.

This book was kind of out there for me and that is saying a lot! Don't get me wrong I tend to like reading "Pillow Talk" type of books, but this one didn't reach out to me. I did enjoy the story line and how some of the situations happened but the ending was kind of abrupt. When I read the last page (without realizing) I said "That's it?!" It's a decent read for maybe a long car ride or plane travel

Really enjoyed this! Maya Banks does an incredibly sexy job of describing one woman's fantasies coming to life. The darkly sexual banter was intensely engaging as was the no-holds-barred narration in the sex scenes. I've re-read this book many times and will do so again, I'm sure!

I am a huge fan of Maya Banks wriritng. Her books and style just do it for me. Hard to put them down once I start them. Now, if you like kink, you'll like this one. there really goes there with the four-some.. num, num, num... And, there are great characters and lots of love.

I LOVE anything by Maya Banks. I love her other books because of her characters and their development, but in Pillow Talk she gets much more graphic than past novels. This book was almost like reading a porno book.

This is a typical Maya Banks story in that it starts out hot, but eventually I'm cringing at what poor Zoe is going through. I was hoping at the very least that the guys bought her a gallon of cranberry juice and maybe one of those donut pillows to sit on for a few days.

And when they decided to make it a permanent arrangement, I couldn't help but think that in a couple of months Zoe was going to look like a cowboy who's spent 30 years on the back of a horse.

Good thing I borrowed this from the library.
