Pen features the same beloved thermo-sensitive ink that can be erased by FriXion. You can erase rub the thermos sensitive ink away using the cap. The pen writes smoothly and erases without a trace. Interestingly enough, the ink in these pens will actually reappear when the temperature reaches below - 10 C (under 14 Fahrenheit). a freezer is sufficiently cold enough to make the ink start to reappear. It is like a Magic pen for adults! because the ink in this pen is thermos sensitive, we do not advise for it to be left in Hot cars, used for mailing, or subjected to a condition that exposes it to a lot of fruition.

•Write super smoothly. Unlike most gel pens or erasable pens, the Pilot Frixion gel pens do not skip.
•Erase completely. Due to the unique ink formula of these pens, they erase fully and do not smear (though the erasers will smear any other kind of ink).
•Wide variety of colors. There are 24 different colors, no repeats, including black.
•Vibrant colors. With most erasable pens, you get very dull, ugly looking writing. With these pens, all the colors are very true to the pen body color and, so far, they haven't faded over time.
•The colors do not get darker when you go over them several times, like when coloring. This is one of my favorite perks of these pens. I have long been looking for a pen that stayed the same color while coloring even if I double-cross a stroke. I especially like the grey, since it is near impossible to find a grey pen and the grey markers always look black on paper.
•Not weighted. The pens are very light, which, depending on your preference, can be a deal breaker (they're fine for me).
•The lightest yellow is hard to see against white paper. It would probably work well on black paper though
•There can be issues with heat. Though I have yet to experience this, since these pens erase via the heat caused by friction, any heat will erase the colors. This can become an issue if you set a hot drink down on your papers while studying. You will end up with a perfect circle of blank space on your paper. Though, artists could use this to their advantage. It could be a creative way to draw using negative space
Overall, I would definitely recommend these pens to anyone who want a colorful gel pen with the added bonus of them being the absolute best erasable pen on the market.
The extra 20 bucks for the erasability is totally worth it. I can perfect my notes without worrying about sloppy mistakes. I'm a little OCD about that sort of thing.
There is a BIG downside though- I live in Austin, TX and it gets hot enough here that leaving anything I've written on in the car will drastically fade or even completely erase. In order to restore the color you have to put these things in the freezer for a while. The huge bummer is that all of the stuff you've erased will also come back. wa wah...
One more thing! If you notice that some of the pens stop working, especially the darker colors in my experience, put them in the freezer overnight. They will work again in the morning. The ink will turn white as opposed to not writing, which is how you know it's overheating and not overuse that's burnt out your pen.
You win some, you lose some, but you still end up (way up) on top with these pens.
I don't recommend trying to color with it like a coloring pencil for it is gel and makes the coloring look choppy and weird.
More for fun and cute doodles at most.
