Apparently, the G2 refills can be used on a bunch of other brands (sadly it didn't work on my Monteverde Invicia but life can't be all fancy pens and beautiful ink)
The G2 refills are a fraction of the price for other costly gel refills and with so many colors it is hard to become bored for long.
The refills work as expected and writing is smooth. The price is also affordable and comes in a 2 pack so it should last a a while.
Overall pretty happy just remember to keep the pen tip clean so it doesn't get clogged.
The ink does not get on your skin. I.e. you cannot write on yourself with these pens. Writing is smooth and for the most part does not smudge. Obviously, some surfaces are going to smudge or not be ideal, but that's what Sharpies are for. I have about 10-12 of these pens and just I buy refills. I save money and I'm never disappointed.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuut, I recieved a box of 6 two packs for caramel, resulting in 12 pen inserts for that color. I thought the price was a little high for 2 inserts (close to $9 for caramel as opposed to about $2 for black), but I guess the number of inserts I recieved explains it. I just wish it was a little more clear that I was purchasing so many. I'm reviewing my order and I did, indeed, purchase 2 caramel inserts and 4 black inserts. I ordered both colors off of the same seller page, so I don't know what happened.
Like I said, I do like the color so I'll end up using them, but I'd be more annoyed if I hated the color and was stuck with so many.
I write at a fast pace so the smoothness of the tip over the paper helps me keep up my pace. Pens that 'snag' cause me to make more loops than are correct leading to ugly, messy, illegible writing.
The refills at 2 for $2.49 is such a good deal (the pen usually sells for about $7). It's worth the trouble to buy and install re-fills than to use the pen as a one-time-use throw-away.
I love it that I can get purple ink. It's even cheaper than black ink.
