Product Description

The Command W7 hybrids are built to replace the 3 and 4 irons. This compact head profile ensures ease of use in just about any situation. The shape of the hybrid distributes the weight to the center creating a larger sweet spot and solid feel at impact, so the feeling is crisp, pure and the traditional hybrid style sole makes this a really easy club to hit.

This 4 hybrid is intended to replace 3 and 4 irons. The 23 degree loft and the design of the head makes it more forgiving in the rough and fairway than a long iron like the 3 or 4 especially for beginners and high handicap players.

I found this 4 hybrid to be sub-par. The white finish is more of a pearlescent paint that seems to chip off very easily if you hit a hard object (like another clubhead by accident). Also, grass and dirt stains are hard to remove from the white finish. The shaft is a black colored graphite shaft that feels quite stiff and dead.

The grip that comes with the club is a Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G, that is extremely grippy when clean. The Golf Pride Tour wrap looks like a wrap but is a regular rubber grip that is smooth and tacky. By tacky, I mean it is really tacky. The smooth surface and material basically sucks your hands onto the grip. Even with the lightest grip, I can't twist the club. Once you get any dirt on it, it starts to slip and must be cleaned. I find that the combination of the surface texture (glossy smooth) and tackiness actually is uncomfortable.

The hybrid head/sole is very wide, which makes it difficult to slip in and out of the included headcover. This headcover is the same one Pinemeadow uses for most of their hybrids, but the design of the Command W7 makes the head wider than the other hybrids and thus is a tight fit for the headcover. The club length is about 40.5" and the loft is 23 degrees. The clubhead is too heavy, and is over 10 grams heavier than the average 4H clubhead and is almost as heavy as a 4 iron clubhead.

The wider sole also makes it more of a fairway wood than a hybrid. As a matter of fact, I have the W7 3 wood club and the head design is very similar: short face height with an extremely wide sole.
