This is good butcher paper. It holds together well after it soaked up water or grease as if fresh meat was wrapped in it.We tested it by taking a section of paper and soaking it in water and also mineral oil (see picture) to simulate grease. Ever after sitting overnight the paper was still strong and taught. Its exactly what butcher paper should do. The water and oil did soak through but that is expected and in some ways necessary to allow the contents to breath and allow it to absorb smoke flavor in a BBQ.

We got a new smoker grill and my husband wanted to use butcher papers instead of aluminum sheets. We purchased a few rolls in different sizes. These papers were great! They were easy to handle and did a great job as far as smoking meats goes. I used it to grill a whole salmon filet on our regular gas grill a couple of days ago. I doubled up the sheets and tucked the corners in and made it a box to keep the juice in and the salmon turned out juicy and delicious. We love these butcher papers!

My family does a lot of seafood boils and crab boils. I also smoke meats once or twice a week and this paper has been great. It was inexpensive and serves every purpose it is intended for. The only reason I left 1 star off is because if you are using a lot of butter and placing this paper onto a surface that you don't want to get dirty you will need to double up. The paper absorbs the oil and unfortunately soaks through. Other than that this product is perfect for what it's intended for and I will continue to buy it.
