The moral issues here could be grasped by older children under supervision but be prepared to answer difficult questions. Consider intent, pause and give it a chance (e.g. brilliantly costumed black rabbits "instantly ready" carrying Pinocchio's coffin) as he contemplates becoming human and its reward - gratefulness, empathy, helpfulness, friendship, loyalty, work ethic, eldercare and love.
