If you've been using Pinterest for any length of time, there will be few surprises here. This is perfect for Pinterest newbies. If you are seeking advanced information about Pinterest, this is probably not the book for you, but it is not without merit and is easy to read and comprehend. I have not explored the links that are provided within the e-book, but some of them do look interesting in terms of advancing to the next level of Pinterest how-to. This e-book was clearly written as a gateway introduction to those links, but it is not necessary to click on them to gain the benefit of the basic information contained within this e-book.
But if you are a new user to Pinterest how do you get started and what actions can you take to get the most out of the site especially as a personal user of the platform?
Melissa Taylor shares practical tips in this short ebook and ideas gleaned from her personal experience of building a community of almost 1.4 million followers (at the time of writing this review). She also includes suggestions of people to follow and tips from fellow Pinterest users.
There is a short chapter covering business use - however I think the book is most useful for new personal users of Pinterest as there are a number of more extensive books that have been published about using Pinterest for marketing.
Do set aside time to implement the ideas that Melissa shares if you want to get benefit for your investment.

How do you get followers on Pinterest?
Ms. Taylor offers the following tips for getting followers.
Connect to your Twitter and/or Facebook accounts.
Name your boards with keywords that others might find interesting.
Make a board dedicated to your business only. You can then repin posts from your business board to your special interest boards.
Pinterest uses hashtags the same way Twitter does. Use hashtags in your descriptions before a category word like #education or #travel.
Repin, Like and Comment on other user's pins.
Follow people who pin items that interest you.
Set up a pinning schedule for each day.
The author shares "Best Advice from Top Pinners" and "Interesting Pinners to Follow" at the end of her book.
This book was a fast read and filled with color screenshots and links. I have read several books about Pinterest but this one really has me excited about setting up boards and pinning.
I currently pin my blog posts and have noticed that I am getting traffic to my blog from the Pinterest links. My goal for the future is to use Pinterest as a virtual filing system that reflects all my interests and passions. You can designate your boards as "private" if you don't want others to see them.
Pinterest Savvy provides basic information about using Pinterest and explains exactly WHY you need to use it. The links are excellent for finding avid pinners to follow and getting a feel for how to use the site. The author shares many tips from the book on her Pinterest Savy website.
