Pinzon Hemstitch Pillowcase Set
Soft and Lightweight 400-Thread-Count
Thread count refers to the number of threads that make up one square inch of fabric. Typically, the finer the threads that can be woven together, the softer the fabric. Thread counts can range from 150 to 1,000.
Offering smooth strength, this mid-range count will feel softer than a 200 thread count. This higher range of thread count offers a lighter weight and a noticeably more flexible drape for an overall attractive display. It makes a great choice for anyone looking to tip the scale on supple strength while staying within a desired price point.
Luxurious Egyptian Cotton
Considered best in class when it comes to high-quality cotton, Egyptian cotton offers a sought-after combination of superior strength, luxurious softness, and beautiful sheen.
Egyptian cotton grows in the warm climate of Egypt and features extra-long durable fibers that give towels and rugs a beautiful texture and long-lasting strength. Items made with Egyptian cotton are typically found in high-end resorts and spas and may come with a higher price tag, but can last for years with appropriate care.
Sateen Finish for Year-Round Comfort
Sateen fabric has a soft, satin-like finish resulting from a four-over-one thread weave. Standard weaves, like percale, use a one-over, one-under stitch.
The four-over weave puts more threads nearer the surface, resulting in a soft and warm surface that is perfect for year-round comfort.
Machine wash in cold and tumble dry on low.

Top Customer Reviews
I'll repeat: Night and Day.
I am HAPPILY SURPRISED with the Pinzon. There were mixed reviews, and I figured that these would be good, not great, (and the cheaper pair would be okay, not great).
But these SO FAR are superb. I've taken some photos. The fabric is heavy (as opposed to paper-thin cotton, that wrinkles and crinkles), and has a satiny sateeny finish. Rubbing my hand along the pillowcase felt smooth and soft, smoother than the cheap $9.99 ones that was almost like muslin, maybe a little better.
The decorative stitching near the top of the case has an elegant look, I don't know the name of that kind of stitching. The seams are reinforced and look sturdy.
Again, I don't know how it will wash, but it's soft, really good quality, and definitely worth $16.99.
If you're considering, as I was, the $9.99 pair from Utopia, I'd suggest that you spring for the extra $7 - (how often do we buy pillowcases??) I'm returning the cheap cases. It's clearer to me, having them side by side, why it's worth $17 to have really good quality cases, rather than skimp for $10.
If the photos are uploaded in the order, the last photo is of the inexpensive case, and you can see the difference in the stitching and fabric.
1) They're clearly high quality.
2) They're nice and thick.
1) The eggshell color has a slight green tinge to it. It's barely perceptible, but I notice it against all of my other stuff that's off-white.
2) Perhaps because they're high thread-count, they have a slippery feel to them that I don't like. If I sweat at all at night, they feel almost sticky.
3) They wrinkle like crazy, even if I put them on my pillows right out of the dryer.

I was pleased with the color and the quality of the pillowcases and the quick delivery. I washed them before using and they wash and dry well.Published 1 day ago by movie watcher
They wrinkle like mad. I am not going to iron pillow cases so I simply have to put up with the wrinkles. They are very well made and of heavy material.Published 2 days ago by BHP940
Love these pillow cases. I switched colors because my face wash has bleach in it and didn't want to ruin my other pillowcases. These feel nice on my skin and the quality is great. Read morePublished 3 days ago by Amazon Customer
I bought these in hopes they wouldn't be scratchy. And if you rub them one way, they're not. But as soon as you turn your head, or move, and brush against the cloth the other way,... Read morePublished 8 days ago by Dragonslayer
