Pinzon Pleated Hem Sheet Set
Soft and Lightweight 400-Thread-Count
Thread count refers to the number of threads that make up one square inch of fabric. Typically, the finer the threads that can be woven together, the softer the fabric.
Offering smooth strength, a 400-599 thread count will feel softer than a 200 thread count. This higher range of thread count offers a lighter weight and a noticeably more flexible drape for an overall attractive display. It makes a great choice for anyone looking to tip the scale on supple strength while staying within a desired price point.
Luxurious Egyptian Cotton
Considered best in class when it comes to high-quality cotton, Egyptian cotton offers a sought-after combination of superior strength, luxurious softness, and beautiful sheen.
Egyptian cotton grows in the warm climate of Egypt and features extra-long durable fibers that give towels and rugs a beautiful texture and long-lasting strength. Items made with Egyptian cotton are typically found in high-end resorts and spas and may come with a higher price tag, but can last for years with appropriate care.
Sateen Finish for All-Season Comfort
A sateen finish remains ultra soft and smooth with a subtle shine and lustrous finish similar to satin. This sateen duvet set not only offers insulating warmth for year-round comfort, but it also makes a great choice when it comes to a more glamorous appearance and a feeling of pure luxury.

Top customer reviews
--- The "parchment" color leans toward mauve, rather than cream.
--- The sheets get pretty wrinkled in the dryer. I don't worry about wrinkly sheets, but if you do, think twice.
--- There is no pilling after two washes. Good thing, too; I hate pilling and will amend my review if it appears.
--- You won't want to launder these sheets with anything that might lint; they collect it like crazy. And if you have pets (I have cats) you'll probably need to spend time picking off little balls of pet hair that magically appear. I do not allow my cats to sleep on the sheets, and I am fastidious about keeping my comforter and carpet free of pet hair, but these sheets seem to attract it from the ambiance.
--- The fitted sheet is nice and snug on my deep mattress. While I don't mind wrinkled fabric, I don't like sleeping on lumps and folds; the fitted sheet in this set stays smooth between changings.
--- The top sheet is a perfect width for comforters. I've had several sets that I had to tuck in on the sides to avoid visibility below my comforter. Not these.
--- The tucks in the hems of the top sheet and pillow cases look classy, but the edges do have a tendency to roll. As much as I am adverse to ironing, I am tempted to haul out the board to address this issue. Also, because I am a side sleeper who tends to sleep on the edge of my pillow, if the pillow isn't snugly into the case, I awaken with marks on my cheek from the tucks.
--- The sheets are substantial in weight without overdoing it. I have a set (different brand) of 440 thread count sheets that are so heavy as to be uncomfortable, but the Pinzon set feels much better. Still, if you like your top sheet to drape around your body, you probably won't care for these.
We did notice some pilling about 30 days in and 4 washes in, but it wasn't insane, just surprising since there were a number of reviews that said they didn't get any, even after some time. But what's worse is that the material has become surprisingly thin and is already wearing.
A couple things to note: We wash about once a week, same as any sheet set we've ever used, we use standard detergent, we don't wear biker leathers with metal studs to bed and treat the sheets with no more abuse than the typical household.
So this is the exact timeframe of failure for this product. We got it at the about May 1st, pilling noticed around June 1st, fabric started to show signs of wear mid-June and now there's a small tear in a weakened spot in the corner of the bed (a place that is not what you'd call a heavy traffic area) and now it's June 25th and we are out of our 30 day allotment to return.
In summary I would suggest that you look another direction for your purchase. Perhaps money is the key to quality, but I can tell you that Amazon-Brand sheets are not.
My only criticism of substance is for the pleated hem on the top sheet and pillowcases. Rather than simply being decorative, there's so much stitching it can feel like coarse sandpaper if you're a restless sleeper and your cheek slides across it at night. I have resorted to using the pillowcases inside out so my face is protected from the pleats. It looks odd, and the internal seam around the side and bottom is exposed, but it's comfortable and I'm no longer wakened in the middle of the night by my pillowcase grating on my face.
Overall, I say you get what you pay for... maybe a little less.
