I was looking for a set of high quality flannel sheets to fit a California Queen size bed. Bedding for that size mattress doesn't appear to be made by anyone, so my 2nd choice was California King, which most manufactures make. I was debating between the German brand Dormisette and the Pinzon brand distributed by Amazon. The product descriptions were very similar, so the final deciding factor for me was the weight, 200 grams per square yard for Dormisette and 190 grams for Pinzon, and I went with the heavier of the two. Big mistake. The German brand was TOTALLY misrepresented. The weight/thickness is nowhere near 200 grams, the sheets and pillowcases pilled the first time I washed them - seriously pilled, as in completely covered with pills, and worst of all, the dye wasn't stable. The bedding came out of the washer with a mottled multi-color pattern of lilac and green. Horrible product. The Pinzon set I bought next is an EXCELLENT product. Heavy fabric, stitching is perfect, washes beautifully - not a single pill after several washings, and the dye is stable - the color appears exactly the same as when I bought them. Highly, highly recommend.

I really only wanted a flannel flat sheet, but finding just the flannel flat sheet is nearly impossible these days, so I bought the set. I took the set down to my local laundry mat to wash it before using because my washer sometimes has issues with large items and while I putting them in I noticed that I only saw one pillowcase. I just assumed I missed it, forgot about it, until I took things out of the dryer and still only found one pillowcase. I went back to the washer I used and didn't find it. So it only came with one pillowcase. No problem I wasn't going to use the pillowcases anyway.

This flannel also sheds considerably. The vent screen was completely clogged and I had to clean it twice to finish. The second wash and dry was only for the flat sheet and it still put out quite a bit of fuzz.

My last flannel blanket lasted 15 years of nearly continuous use. Some of the edges are a bit tattered, it's gotten thin, but it's lasted a good long time. I would be surprised if this sheets lasts two or three years of just winter use.

It's warmer than my last blanket, it's really been to warm to use as a lightweight blanket for summer.

I just even hate to tell everyone how much I love these sheets - mostly for the fact that I am afraid they will sell out or raise the prices....
If you live in Minnesota like I do - flannel sheets provide that extra bit of warmth and comfort from October to oh...May probably. We have had one set of these for 2 winters now and they are still great. No pilling, and the dryer filter is not full of lint (yes there is some). We liked these so much we purchased another set (the "Italian Roast" color). In case you didn't know, the darker colors show stains easier - we will buy a lighter color next time.

I purchased these sheets back in 2012 and loved them. I recently purchased the same sheets again in 2016 and found that the sheets are not the same as the ones I purchased back in 2012. I think it's not fair for Amazon to reduce the quality of the product but still use the same reviews from the previous product.

My husband is a fan of very warm winter bedding and I've found that he will forego an electric blanket, which I hate, if I will compromise with flannel sheets. Unfortunately, most of the ones we've had in the past soon became uncomfortable because of excessive lint and pilling. I was hesitant about spending so much money but decided that the reviews were good enough to take a chance. These are by far the best we've ever tried. I ran them through a warm water wash cycle with a cup of vinegar initially and did get a lot of lint in the dryer filter which I removed about every 10 minutes during the drying cycle. They came out soft, free of lint, without pills and unwrinkled. These are very heavy, well made flannel sheets and might be too warm for some climates but they are perfect for fall and winter here when we turn our thermostat down at night. We will definitely be investing in more sets for the other beds in our home.

These are my new favorite sheets! I ordered another pair and the duvet cover. Great for climbing into bed on a cold night not as cold as standard sheets can be when you first get in. Fabric is super soft and stays in place with the other blankets unlike other slick sheets with high thread count do which means the bed is easier to fix in the morning. I can see them being too hot for summer use as i do not have air conditioning. Great quality prduct, no loose stitching or pilling after wash.

***************UPDATE: after one wash, noticed when put back on bed. the center of the fitted sheet washed out from a graphite grey to a sage green color. I have already boughten more sets of these sheets and hope it does not happen to the other 2 or duvet cover!!
I will not be buying these sheets again. It is a shame as i really find these to be a great quality otherwise and super soft.

I love flannel sheets. We are always waiting for the cold weather to come along so we can pull out the flannel sheets for our bed and were in need of some new sheets. Last year I purchased some on Overstock and was very disappointed in the quality so I looked around on line and found these sheets. Due to their reviews I purchased this pair and we washed them and put them on the bed early this week.

There was a bit of lint in the dryer after washing and drying them but oh my, these are the absolute best flannel sheets we have ever purchased. I can't begin to describe how soft these sheets are. There was virtually no wrinkling after drying and once they were on the bed they look beautiful. There was no "pilling" noted on these sheets, yes, it's only after on washing but the quality speaks highly of the future for us.

I just purchased another set this morning.

We have just one set of these sheets that we've used ~7 months of the year for almost two years. They are warm in winter and comfortable in warmer weather.

They are generously cut and there is no problem fitting a deep mattress.

There was a considerable quantity of lint that came off in the dryer when the sheets were new, and they continue to shed at a much reduced rate. The attached photos of our dryer lint filter were taken when the sheets were new. Each photo was taken after drying one sheet and one pillow case.

I expect to get at least another two years use out of them.

I have purchased MANY flannel sheets over the years, I'm telling you these are the best EVER in my opinion. They are so soft and stay soft after several washes, and we use these year round. You will crawl into bed and feel so snuggly with them. I know they are a bit spendy, but they are worth the price you pay. So try them, you will not be disappointed. If you are, sorry, but we love them. I have 2 sets so I can have clean ones on while washing the other set. Good luck.

These are the thickest flannel sheets I have bought; thicker than Pointehaven, thicker than the overrated Eddie Bauer sheets, and thicker than any of several "premium" sets from a place that sounds something like StockOver. We were both impressed indeed. Unlike some of those I just mentioned, they aren't as frugal with the amount of fabric used, so no hard stretching or two-fisted hauling on the fabric to make it fit on our seriously thick mattress. We washed them immediately on arrival and the dryer had scant lint in it.

The big CON with these is the Queen size has tiny pillow cases and no option to get larger ones instead, a disappointment.

Skip all the 30,000-odd examples of junk you find here, with all the things they carefully don't tell you, and don't waste time looking at flashy trash. Buy these Pinzon sheets. They're made like flannel sheets should be made. Like I said, we were both impressed indeed.
