This mattress cover is better than most quilted mattress covers, but it is not as thick and plush as the picture leads you to believe. It is more like a thick quilted mattress cover than a plush, thick mattress pad. The thickness is not more than half and inch. You can tell it is there, but only offers a minor amount of plushness. I used this cover at camp hoping to make my camp mattress more comfortable. It didn't help much. I haven't tried washing it yet, I am afraid that it will loose what little thickness it has after washing.

I ordered this based on over 5000 reviews. However I had to return it. Its not very comfortable and moves and slides around too much. It feels of cheaply made product. Mine had a tear/rip forming with less than 2 nights sleeping on it.

I needed a pad to make my extra firm mattress more comfortable. This did the trick. However, be careful what you wish for...it makes you extremely hot. That is the rap on Tempur Pedic mattresses, but I do not mind that. This is something much more. I think it might be good for cold winter nights, but will have to be packed away until the Fall.

It's been exactly one year since I purchased this and it is on its way to the thrift store. First of all, it sleeps warm, so OK for winter, but hot in summer. Also the sheets do not stay tucked in because it has a slippery surface. But most disappointing of all is that it has pilled really badly. The top material comes off in long strips after washing. I initially chose this one because I have been very pleased with the Pinzon towels I purchased. This is not the same quality.

This mattress pad is excellent. Swapped for an old one when my girlfriend and I got our new bed a three weeks ago. I have since washed it twice, and have had no issues. The puffy pockets are individually stitched, so there is no bunching of material after the washer. I was also a little concerned that it might not be deep enough to fit tightly on our mattress, the mattress we have is THICK, at least double the thickness of my last mattress. This mattress pad fit firmly and snugly, and could have even fit a thicker mattress with no issues.
When my girlfriend laid down on it for the first time, she said "It is like being on a cloud" , and I could not agree more, I thought just the mattress was great, with this added on it is absolutely amazing. I also noticed that this mattress pad is made specifically for Amazon, I had no idea until it arrived, I think that is a plus.
If you are looking at other mattress pads, do not bother looking any further, this is easily the best value on Amazon. Do not bother getting an el cheapo 20 dollar one, you will regret it, and do not bother spending 120 dollars on one that promises some miracle. I added a few photos so you can get an idea of how luxurious this thing really is. Its great.

Dangerous! Do not buy this if you have a hard time waking up in the morning because this cover will transport you to a pillow paradise. You will sleep in and miss your child's birthday, an apocalyptic flood, or your local political protest. 10/10. Worth the ensued time lapse.

I was in the market to buy an overstuffed matress pad to add "fluffiness" to my matress. I came across this product and saw the words "Overfilled Microplush Mattress Pad", looked at the pictures that advertised 3inches of thickness, read reviews that raved about the softness and thickness, so I bought it.
The product that arrived was nothing close to what I was expecting. It seems to be an OK matress pad if you only want to protect your matress. The thickness is nothing more than an average matress pad, so I do not see how it would add any additional softness to your mattress. The softness the reviewers are referring to is the fabric the matress pad is made out of, a Microplush super soft fabric, but honestly I find that irrelevant because I will not be directly sleeping on the mattress pad.
Needless to say I returned the mattress pad because it was in no way what I was needing.

I researched many of the mattress pads here on Amazon before choosing this one. I got a new inner spring/memory foam mattress about 2 months ago and it had been just too firm for me. I knew I needed a mattress pad but wasn't sure if I needed a 2" foam topper as well. I decided to get the mattress pad first and then go from there. I have been using this pad for 3 weeks now and am actually ecstatic with its quality and how effective it is. It is indeed overfilled and very plush. It is also very well sewn and none of the filling moves about. The mattress pad also stays securely in place with a very generous elastic edging that fits very well under my 12" mattress. People have said it is like floating on a cloud and I never pictured myself saying such a thing but it indeed is! This mattress pad alone has added just the right amount of softness and comfort so that my mattress itself is now very effective and not too firm. Other people have noted they purchased it to soften a mattress as well and it did not work. Important to note this is a mattress pad, not a mattress topper. It is excessively plush and has fill that doesn't flatten either. But I believe it helped me out for I had a quality brand new mattress to begin with. Don't expect it to perform magic on an aged mattress that has become hard.
I lastly want to add I am a bigger guy at 6 feet and 265 pounds and even with my weight the softness and pure comfort this pad provides has in no way lessened over 3 weeks of use. I look forward to going to bed. I am a sleeper who moves around a lot from my sides to my back. I sleep in all positions and it is now done with ultra comfort due to this mattress pad. I plan on taking it off the bed and refluffing it once a month just to make sure I am getting the full benefit I can. In regards to washing this pad is very big (I have a queen size) and I will be taking it to the dry cleaner which is actually how it is recommended to care for it. Huge kudos to Amazon for such a fine product. This mattress pad far surpassed my expectations and I recommend it highly.

So comfy and warm. The fleece like outer gets me nice and toasty. My cat loves it too! Haven't washed it yet so I will update when I do. Just look at her content little face!
