Pinzon Hypoallergenic White Duck Down Pillow - Medium Density
Luxurious White Duck Down
A true classic, down fill lives up to its reputation of being exceptionally breathable, helping to keep you at an ideal sleeping temperature by pulling away moisture vapor and excess body heat for comfort throughout the night.
Down and feathers come in a variety of shades, from white to black-speckled grey. White down and feathers are ideal as they're able to blend in with white bedding.
Medium Density Pillow with 21 Ounces of Fill
Designed for back sleepers, pillows with a fill/density of 21 ounces help keep the head in line with the spine for optimal head and neck support while sleeping.
This fill/density also works well for restless sleepers who move around and don’t necessarily have a preferred position. Medium-density pillows make a useful choice when needing a little more support than soft-density pillows but without being too firm.
You can rest assured that this product is hypoallergenic. This pillow has passed the industry’s most rigid sanitization methods to eliminate any impurities like dust, dirt, oil and dander from the down and feathers in the product.
Firm Support with Single-Chamber Design
A single-chamber design offers a firm internal core for head and neck support, surrounded by a layer of fluffy softness for comfort. The pillow will offer a denser feel, yet it will generally be less expensive than pillows with additional chambers. Single-chamber pillows offer a distinct element of high-quality style and noticeable comfort, but won’t have the same level of superior softness as felt in double- or triple-chamber pillows.

It is the most comfortable pillow that I have ever had. I was a bit worried about which density to buy. I do not like a full or firm pillow, but I also need "body" to my pillow. I ordered the soft one, and it is perfect. I wish that I could describe it better, in order to allay any worries that you may have.
The pillow was not flattened during shipping, nor did it need a long fluffing time. I have seen complaints of bad odors in reviews of some down/feather pillows. This pillow is completely odor free.
Go ahead and order. I think you will be very happy. If not, Amazon does have one of the easiest online returns.
1/3 of your life is spent sleeping so the investment in a quality pillow (mattress, comforter, spouse... etc.) is a no brainer. Come off the money, buy these pillows and get a great night's sleep. They're cheaper than a tank of gas and will last a lot longer.
If you're value minded and appreciate quality, this is the pillow for you. If you're cheap, say hey to my brother Mike at the next tightwad convention.
This one is very soft down and fluffs up nicely. There is enough down in it that your head sinks nicely into it. The only problem so far is that I don't want to get out of bed because it feels so good.
UPDATE: After using it for 2 months it fluffs up better than it did new. This is real down with no feathers. GREAT PILLOW
Pillows largely come down to personal preference, so I'm not rating this pillow based on the way the pillow fits your head (and how I don't like that). Rather, I'm rating this pillow 2 stars because "medium density" would not have been my first guess.
The pillow seems to work by making sure all the goose down gets pushed to either side of your head, leaving nothing but the pillow case separating you from the mattress. I paid $80 for nothing, since I could have easily thrown my pillows to the floor and gone without to get the same experience. Or maybe I could have put a phone book on either side of my head for the illusion.
I think the problem with this pillow comes down to not enough stuffing. I could probably try to reduce the size of the pillow, thus increasing the down density, and get some use out of it. But for such an expensive pillow, I shouldn't have to.
Other than that, it seems to be a quality product. Just be aware of what you're getting yourself into.
PS on a side note they both also have a smell of some sort to them (I cant' put my finger on what it is??)
I quickly returned the soft pillow and ordered the medium. It is also quite thin, but by doubling it you get the impression that yes, there is a bit of pillow under there somewhere. The pillow is very soft and comfortable, and seems to be made of quality materials. However, it is still pretty thin. I'm tempted to try the firm version (ironic, in my quest for a soft pillow), but I suspect these pillows aren't the greatest value. The medium version which sold for $45 only ten months ago now costs $70. If you don't mind bunching all four corners of your pillow toward the middle to get a bit of thickness, the medium pillow might work for you. If you look on eBay you will find many of these pillows for sale that have been returned to the place of purchase, and most of them are the soft density. I would definitely skip the soft and start with medium or even firm density.

The down is nice quality, and it's a full king sized pillow. However, I felt like it was a bit under stuffed. This makes the pillow softer than I'd like. Read morePublished 20 days ago by Luke Cartwright
