Pinzon 6-Piece Pima Cotton Towel Set
Medium Weight 580 GSM
The weight of a towel can be a great indicator of quality and performance. Typically, towel density is measured in grams per square meter (GSM) and ranges from 300 to 900 GSM.
Towels with 580 GSM - like this Egyptian Cotton Towel Set - offer a more luxurious, spa-like experience. This medium-density towel will soak up water fast for noticeable absorbency, and dry quickly for a fresh feeling with each use.
Ultra-Soft Pima Cotton
Similar to Egyptian cotton, Pima cotton (or the name brand Supima) offers luxurious softness, exceptional absorbency, fast-drying breathability, and long-lasting strength.
Pima cotton comes from the same plant as Egyptian cotton, but is grown in America. This Pima Cotton Bath Towel Set will look, feel, and perform similar to an Egyptian cotton bath towel, even though the cotton is from a different region. Pima cotton makes a great choice when it comes to supreme comfort and everyday luxury.
Low-Twist Construction for Superior Absorbency
Twist references the number of times yarn is twisted per inch of yarn. A lower twist count creates more space between the fibers, allowing air to circulate, which means it doesn’t take as long for the towel to dry.
Low-twist yarn, which is used in this Pima Cotton Set, requires the use of longer staple fibers because of their intrinsic strength. By using just the long staple fibers (vs. long and short like with ringspun), low-twist towels offer a heavier weight, superior absorbency, and a softer feel that’s noticeably fluffier than everyday twisted yarn towels found in most homes.

They are made in India and say 100% Pima cotton, the care instructions made me concerned though:
Wash in cold water
Dark colors may bleed
Tumble dry on low
I bought the white towels so I use warm water and medium heat, after the first wash there was very little lint. If you buy dark towels you should soak for one hour in cold water and white vinegar to set the dye, if you buy dark colors then always use cold water and low heat.
EDIT(11/21/14): the washcloths have bad stitching, one of them unraveled when I washed it but the rest of the set is holding up so far. One star off for that. I've noticed that the stitching of all linens nowadays is poor, they don't make them like they use to.
Out of a total of 24 towels, one of the hand towels had bad stictching. The seam where the towels hold the tags was ripped. I thought I'd try my handywork (Check out the pic) by sewing them back on myself, but when I tried to remove the bad stitching, the whole seem pulled apart. I spent the next 10 minutes sewing the entire seem by hand minus the tags. I have to say, I now feel like an expert! Time will tell if it holds up though!
So, 5 hours after receiving the towels, both towels had unraveled at the hems. The wash cloths and hand towels were unscathed.
I advised Amazon, and they refunded the purchase price, so now I'm shopping for towels again. You won't waste your money, because Amazon stands behind their products, but stay away from these towels...huge disappointment.
