lots of features but I think I would consider tracking down one with a NAVIGATION on it for my next firebird or camaro ... because the blac kbox navigation that goes in this one is MEGA EXPENSIVE and HUNDREDS of DOLLARS over priced.... when you add up the cost of this unit plus the black box you might aswell buy a new car with it built in .... PIONEER are stupid at pricing their ADD ON items.
I think my only problem with it was that I was under the impression that a sync with my phone could do more than talk on the phone and listen to Pandora. I got excited when I heard that the unit could control my phone and view maps off of it. I kept hearing about AppRadio this, and touchscreen to work with you maps on your phone, and all this other cool stuff. Then I heard you need specialized cables to do that. I have an android phone so if you want to sync it with the rest of the stuff on your phone other than the Bluetooth hands free, you need to purchase another cable. I had assumed any USB connection would work, but no - there's a specialized cable for that, and it's unclear if I got the cable whether or not it would work. Some documentation suggests I can, other suggests you can't. So I was a little bummed that I didn't get to try that.
So it's a cool unit - just be aware that if you wanted for the touchscreen control of your phone, you need additional cables and must make sure that you have the right phone. That being said, I'd buy the unit again.
Another nice feature was being able to fully tweak picture settings for the screen in both regular and night time (dimmer) modes. The screen is decent and certainly gets the job done. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled from some more expensive, larger HD screens, but the picture quality on DVD's is decent but not exactly 2013 standard. It's still very watchable though, and I find myself taking longer to get out of the car sometimes because I'm in the middle of a great scene. To that point, and the complaints of a few reviewers, I picked up the parking brake override bypass, suggested by Amazon, and have no complaints regarding the unit's accessibility. It's up to you to safely operate the vehicle and keep your eyes on the road.
Speaking of eyes on the road, since this unit quickly and automatically connects to your phone, calls are easily made with the touch screen by either dialing or accessing your address book. Call quality is good and no one has complained of trouble hearing me through the included microphone.
An overall solid stereo for under $250, would buy it again.
