5.0 out of 5 stars Great mixer from Pioneer!
By Adam on May 23, 2017
Really nice mixer with a whole bunch of features. The touchscreen is great and the whole feel of the mixer is great. You can really feel the durability on this thing. I upgraded from the djm600 to this. One really cool this was, I have two Technics 1210's in a large flight case made for the djm600. What I did was just remove the two wood pieces surrounding the mixer and the djm2000 fix perfectly. I was really happy to not have to buy a new flight case. Another great thing with this mixer is hooking it to the cdj2000 nxs2. I'm still getting used to all the features and having a lot of fun with the beat slicer. I know some people say this mixer is intimidating but just like anything new you just have to practice and get use to it. For me it's a lot of fun. I saw one person saying the sound quality was not great, but I have found that the sound is really good from this unit. This mixer does cost a lot but I think it will be worth it. I paid 900 for my djm600 in I think 2001 and it still works great, so if I get a good run like that out of this unit it will be well worth it!
I included some photos, not in order but you can see the mixer in the third pic before I modified the flight case and how well this mixer fit in. I sure got lucky on that one! The last pic with the blue lights has the old cdj1000 in it.
