Product description

Oversized Cone Surface with Tight Bass

The shallow-mount subwoofer that comes preloaded in the TS-SWX3002 utilizes an oversized cone structure that provides greater cone and gasket surface without changing its standard external dimension. This cone surface allows the subwoofer to produce louder deeper bass by moving more air. It is made of highly rigid cone made of MICA injection-molded resin which creates a rigid and durable cone, giving it the ability to produce accurate bass. The subwoofer includes a dual spider to provide more cone motion control for optimized stiffness stabilizing the excursion of the cone and support the subwoofer's linear movement for accurate bass response.

Angled Push Terminals

Traditional subwoofer terminals are mounted horizontally or vertically. These mounts force wires to be bent to fit which can be difficult if low gauge high performance wires are used. The Pioneer shallow subwoofer’s patent-pending, angled push terminals make it easy to connect speaker wires. The straighter connection saves space and makes installation easier.

New Design Enclosure

Thanks to its innovative enclosure design, the TS-SWX3002 enclosure can be installed freely in the cabin or luggage area for optimal utilization of space. Compact space-saving dimensions make it easy to install the subwoofer in a variety of trucks- standard-cab, extended-cab, or crew-cab.The enclosure is fully carpeted, creating a non-slip and scratch resistant surface.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, accurate sub in a very small size
By Rex B. on July 16, 2018
I had the 10" version of this in my old car and was impressed with it. When I got my new car I decided to try the 12" version. I was hoping it would hit the lower notes (from about 20hz to 35hz) better than the 10" version, which it does. My old car was a 2013 Honda Fit. My new car is a 2017 VW GTI so both of them are hatchbacks. I can't say how these subs sound in a sedan or coupe with a trunk, but either the 10" or 12" sound great in a smaller hatchback car. If you have the room I'd say get this 12" version because it seems to have a bit better range. The 12" version doesn't take up much more room than the 10" version. I am running this sub with a Pioneer GM-D8601 mono amp which runs 300 watts RMS with this 4 ohm sub. I have found it to be plenty loud in my car.

One thing that I like about this smaller sealed sub is that the bass is very accurate. Bass drums are tight and punchy and bass guitar notes are not loose or muddy sounding like with a lot of vented sub enclosures. This 12" version will still do the boom of synth bass in hip-hop and electronic music. I'm actually really impressed with the versatility of it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely recommend if space is an concern
By James G. on March 23, 2017
I was looking for a enclosure to fit under the rear seat of my 13 Supercrew f150, and found this combo at a great deal. It's definitely compact and the sub sounds good (still tweaking the sound a bit) although it didnt fit quite as flush as i had hoped, it maybe half an inch too tall .
Overall I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a small enclosure with a decent sub, I may upgrade the sub later on but for now this one is good enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good, tight bass, clear sound!
By Capt. RL on August 8, 2018
We have installed these pioneer subs and similar subs in the pioneer product line in many boats and trucks.. We've used them in several types of box enclosures. This enclosure is great, and the 12" pioneer subs fail to disappoint as usual!.. This sub, like all the 4-500 watt rms pioneer subs, takes some pretty serious power to sound right. The subs are awesome but remember they're 1500 max wattage, so using an amp over 1000 watts is crucial for the best sound. We've found that a 2-channel 1200 watt amp bridged gets the absolute best sound from these pioneer 12" subs, this one inside this awesome enclosure is no exception and sounds best when mounted with the sub facing down to the floor. I can't say it enough, run enough power for the best sound.. This sub and enclosure should not have anything less than 5 stars. If it's tight bass you're looking for, do not hesitate to purchase this under priced sub and enclosure. We've installed many as mentioned.. No need to worry, buy it, get a 1000+ watt amp and you'll be beyond pleased. Easy 5 stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's exactly what I wanted
By JimG on December 28, 2018
I used this to replace a box with two 12" kickers speakers so I wasn't immediately blown away as it wasn't as loud and car shaking as the 2 speaker box was but after tuning the settings a touch this speaker does punch and sounds awesome. It's a tighter punchier bass and I love it. The space saving design gave me my trunk back too! It's exactly what I wanted. Make my trunk functional again and still keep a good bass sounding system.
