In five sections, the authors explore the multi-faceted nature of missionary mobilization. In Part 1 missionaries describe their initial call to missions. The chapters in Part 2 address the challenges people face when responding to the missionary call. Parts 3 and 4 tackle the complexities the local church faces to becoming a mobilizing congregation, including preparation and and missionary care. Parts 5 and 6 draw the reader into the important conversations about partnerships, between churches, agencies, and cross-cultural partners. Each chapter concludes with a helpful list of suggestions in the "Connecting To The Pipeline" box.
I highly recommend Pipeline. The book guides church leaders to develop a mobilization mindset in their congregations. It also offers advice to refine mobilization practices in established churches. I also recommend the book for individuals seeking to discern their place in fulfilling the Great Commission.
