but this one....I have NEVER been so annoyed at a game in my life! The docking of 20 seconds for random taps is fine IF my taps had all been random which they weren't. They were used to zoom in and out and to move the screen around. I finally figured out that I could just leave the stylus on the screen and slide it off toward the edges after the screen stopped moving and get repositioned that way instead of tapping. But even THAT'S not what's causing the 3 star review - it's the fact that on a couple of screens they had more than one of an item, I.e. dice and the sharper looking dice weren't right. So I wasted taps on them trying to pick them up only to finally find ONE die all alone that was the right one. It said DICE not DIE. So between the 20 second docks (I know I can turn them off) and the multiple items on the same screen was just enough to make me blow a gasket and I have never been that irritated by a game in a long time and never since I've owned a Fire and Fire HD. The only reason this isn't getting one star is because Nevosoft has always been a good company for me and I own most of their games. They must have been stoned or something to put out that much dialogue and make so many errors in the choices and have typos all before I've even gotten done with trying to figure out why I'm being given the danged box! I haven't even gotten done with chapter 1 and I'm so annoyed with it I can't stand the thought of going back to it until I settle down.

I sure hope they see this review and check their game because if I buy one that's this bad, they've lost a customer.

This game is similar to the other Nevosoft hidden object games. Each chapter has a lot of dialogue, then you find hidden objects, either by name or silhouette, and in some chapters you find matching pairs. There are 16 chapters, a zoom, and graphics are crisp and easy to see. . If you don't like reading dialogue, you can tap the screen to move it along. Each hidden object scene is timed, and you get time penalties for tapping too much. However, there is an option to disable the timer (it's called countdown mode) and once you do that, you can take as much time as you want and tap away without penalties.

I've played the game through several times - it's a straightforward game, fun, easy to play, and the pirate story is actually good if you feel like reading all the dialogue.

I like hidden object games but this one is definitely NOT worth $3. The game is pretty generic as far as hidden object games go. The graphics are fine, the story is fine & the objects aren't too hard to find, but it's more like a .99 game.

I had pretty much given up on Nevosoft games because they are all the same--bunch of boring dialogue, unappealing graphics, loading, loading, loading... I think this one must have been a faotd when I decided to get it since I love ho adventure games. I was not surprised when it was more of the same. I guess the individual searches and games aren't too bad but my finger was getting tired from tapping through the seemingly endless dialogue. I can't say anything about the story because the talking was too boring to care what I was missing. It just boggles my mind how people keep rating these games high when gems out there like Alawar's Weird Park and Mumbojumbo's Midnight Mysteries get the shaft because they cost a little more but are SO worth it (btw, Weird Park is truly only $ 0.99 now--get it!) Another great one is Big Fish's Enigmatis but, for some reason it's not available here--I got it from Google play. Also, another Alawar game here Stray Souls with the picture of the creepy doll--outstanding.

The only reason I would recommend this game, or pretty much any nevosoft game, is to point out how truly awesome these other games are and how much more imagination and work went into them.

Like other games I've seen from this company, the art is absolutely beautiful.

This game does introduce one feature that I've not seen on their other games. You can choose to play with a timer on each screen if you want to. On the other hand, it does not (at least always) have a feature I liked on the last of their games I played: objects hidden in cabinets and drawers and so forth.

Overall, I don't like the modes where you are only searching for three or four objects at a time (either by name or outline). I'd rather have all the objects available to find and have the area that identifies them scroll.

What I really hold back stars from on this app is the dialogue. The dialogue before and after each screen of "finding" is lengthy, and most of it has nothing to do with advancing the story. Worst of all, Nevosoft seems to employ a nine year old to write that dialogue. It really is wretched. I played the early chapters of this game, and that's all I could take of the dialogue. Even with just tapping the dialogue frames as quickly as I could to clear them, they were still a major annoyance.

If you can take the dialogue, you'll probably enjoy the game. As always, while it's the free app there isn't any harm in giving it a shot.

Love the game, but dislike having to start over from the first level. Would really like to play, then go on with life, and be able to go back and continue from where I left off. That is the only thing I don't like about this game. If that can be fixed I would give it 5 stars.
