This is the perfect size to steam milk for a single or double shot of espresso. Especially for machines with a short steaming wand. I fill it halfway, about 2 oz of milk which doubles in size after steaming. My photo is showing comparison against my 12 oz pitcher.

PERFECT for cortado and Macchiato

I work in a specialty coffee shop, one serving more traditional espresso beverages and we get quite a few cortado orders. If you're unaware of what a cortado is, it's a 4.5oz latte, a double shot and steamed milk served in a small glass. These are finicky drinks to make since with a 12oz steam pitcher, I have to overfill it to create the desired milk texture for the drink. With this pitcher, I can fill the 2.5oz needed to get it to half full, steam it, get the proper texture AND still be able to pour latte art with it, instead of having to pour some of the milk out of the larger pitcher to get latte art. THANK YOU THIS PITCHER IS LITERALLY SAVING ME $10+ a day.

we like to froth our milk for our tea/coffee and every day we end up using a new cup to do this, so I thought, oh! ill get an actual little pitcher! we don't need a full size one like a coffee shop, this will be perfect! its small yall. I don't even think it legit holds 5 oz but I haven't tried. it probably does, I don't know. I just know that a little milk and a frother don't work in this! this is like going to a restaurant and they bring out the tiny little pitcher for half and half. that being said, it is nice, good quality, and not their fault I didn't do my research!

I carefully read the reviews and measurements for the size of this cup. I wanted something that would fit underneath my espresso machine and can fit at least 4.5 oz. Well it met some of my expectations: fitting underneath my machine, durable, beautiful stainless steel design with a spout, BUT I have 3 shots every morning and it was just too small. It's perfect if you want only 1 or 2 shots in the morning. I use the Nespresso pods. This is perfect for one Lungo or two small shots - 3 oz max! Otherwise it will overflow. I am ordering the bigger one even if it means it may not fit underneath my machine perfectly. Oh well.

This is a really great little pitcher (5oz) and seems well built and sturdier than others I’ve seen. I was skeptical at first and thought it might be too small for my purpose but it turned out to be the perfect size for a 4.5oz cortado (served on a Gibraltar or Vero glass) I’m able to comfortably froth milk by filling it just below the spout with enough room to stretch the milk to the ideal point.

Highly recommended.

A perfect little pitcher. It’s pretty cute, and it works perfectly for what I wanted—something to pull espresso shots into. It’s held up through the temp changes (hot to cold) and it’s shown no signs of rusting or tarnishing. Granted, it hasn’t been very long, but I’ve seen other “stainless steel” products rust in a week when set on a dish strainer for days on end, and this little guy’s still in mint condition. Holds up to a triple shot, maybe a quad (though I haven’t tried a quad, it looks like it would hold a quad OK).
