The 165hz, which is one step higher than the 144Hz refresh rate, makes it possible for average gamers to feel a difference in their own reaction speeds thus allowing you to go another step further to achieve maximum performance. |

Older Update-Monitor stopped working for me. Went through every trouble shooting issue I could. Multiple display port/hdmi cables and it is still defective. I have tried everything. I know it is the panel because I have connected it to another computer that has a working monitor and the Pixio stays on a black screen. The blue indicator light says that it is on, but
Does not display an image. I have submitted an RMA form to Pixio and will soon update this review again once I have went through the RMA process.
I’m a very hardcore gamer. I have used every panel type -TN/IPS/VA
I saw this monitor and said “something has to be fishy!”
1st and foremost, if you use an NVIDIA card you will be happy. I know I know, it’s a FreeSync monitor, Nvidia allows non certified monitors to use Gsync. While this may not be “officially” supported it works perfect. Enable FreeSync and then go into Nvidia control panel and enable GSYNC. Smooth as butter with no flickering at all. I also own and use a 27” dell 1440p/144hz Gsync display. Literally could not tell the difference. It is as if the monitor came with Gsync. The monitor is huge and I love that it is not curved. It has no dead pixels and input lag is extremely low. I honestly don’t understand how they can sell this at 299.99
It is 32” and you can use my included pictures as reference. It dwarfs my 27”.
Pros - Gsync works perfectly- beautiful VA panel- no dead pixels - comes with a vesa mount- low response time. Seriously stop reading this and buy this monitor! Omg
Cons- literally nothing. If you are still reading this you should stop and click add to cart. You will not be disappointed!
This is a steal at 299.99. They should sell this for 499.99 because it would still be a bargain!
Did I mention this thing is super thin. Did I mention the colors of the VA panel are amazing!
Seriously, Pixio has set the bar so high.

Seriously, Pixio has set the bar so high.
-No dead pixels, or any other significant defects, on my sample.
-Extremely low input/processing latency.
-Solid OSD options, including a usefully granular 'black boost' control.
-Stand is sturdier than I was expecting.
-Better contrast and blacks than virtually any TN or IPS panel without FALD.
-Minimal black crush.
-VRR (VESA Adaptive Sync/Freesync/G-Sync) works.
-165Hz refresh rate without VRR, 48-144Hz with it.
-Thin overall, minimal bezel, and no-nonsense styling.
The bad:
-Absurd dead pixel policy of 99.99% guaranteed working pixels...which means almost 400 of them can be defective before the display is eligible for warranty.
-Contrast relatively poor for a VA panel; closer to 2000:1 static than advertised 3000:1.
-Default settings no where near accurate; needs considerable adjustment for best results.
-Response time borderline for 144Hz+.
-Noticeable overshoot ghosting on highest overdrive setting.
-Mild color uniformity issues.
-Cheap screws for stand; stripped the heads on at least one of them first install.
In the end, I would definitely recommend this display to anyone looking for a solid gaming and general use experience on a 32" 1440p display without spending a fortune. It's one of only two non-curved display lines with these specs that I've been able to find, and I've had better experiences with this one.
Two big time gripes for this monitor after using it for a couple weeks.
- First, once the monitor goes to sleep after it loses signal, there appears to be no way of waking it back up unless you hold the power button to turn it off, then turn it back on. This is a problem for me because I have this monitor connected to two computers (my personal gaming desktop and my work laptop). If I turn one computer off and the monitor goes to sleep, I can't wake it back up to switch the input to the other.
- That brings me to my next issue. There's no quick way of switching inputs. You need to dig through the OSD menu to get to the source switch. I go back and forth between inputs regularly, so I find this very annoying. So annoying that I'm currently looking into some sort of displayport switch to avoid it altogether.
Update: returned it just before the end of the return period. The two nuisances mentioned above ended up being deal breakers for me. Returned and got an LG 32GK650F-B for the exact same price (Micro Center). Much better OSD, fully articulating stand.

I'm a game developer as my trade so we usually have great gear at the office. Sadly, I cannot afford to pay that much at home for my gear. Wanting to upgrade my 24" 60Hz monitor to a gaming one, I had to make compromises since I was not willing to put 700-800$ for a new monitor. Instead, I wanted to use that money for a graphic card or a new motherboard / CPU. After a bit of research, I found this unknown brand called pixio. I had my doubts at first but after using it for almost a whole month, I must say I'm pretty impressed for the price. I'm using it with an Nvidia 2070 Super and it's smooth as butter. I use the 165Hz framerate and boy is it smooth! The screen size is big enough for a 1440p resolution and the picture quality is impressive for the price. It feels like a 700$ monitor but for almost half the price. Some were saying they had dead pixels upon receiving it. I tested it and no dead pixels. The menu isn't as hard as some mentioned and I like the gaming options they've added like FPS or reticle. A very good bang for your buck overall. The downsides? I sometimes notice ghosting when moving fast in games. This is my biggest complaint but you cannot get everything at such a low price. Also, the stand isn't adjustable but you could mount it to work around that or they sell an optional adjustable stand. Overall, I'm very satisfied for the price. Good job pixio! 👍
UPDATE: After a few weeks of use, I took 2 stars off because of the ghosting effect that is way too annoying to my taste. For example, watching a movie will show ghosting on most of the section that got refreshed. I really enjoy the 165hz refresh rate but it sucks for the ghosting. I should have used it more before my return window expired. Now, I will use this monitor to play games with high refresh rate but I know I'll have to deal with ghosting constantly.
I've had this monitor for 3 months and had no flickering issue so far. However I experienced an issue where i lose color range and some horizontal lines appear which goes away after turning the screen off and on again. I had this issue only 2 times since I bought it.
Will update the review if it gets worse.
I like the heavy metal stand although I might end up using a mount at some point.
