This beautifully-made wooden toy looks charming displayed on a shelf! Includes six toy fish. For ages 6 months and up. This educational toy promotes size and color recognition, problem solving, and fine-motor coordination Made of birch wood; finished with non-toxic, water-based paint Toy aquarium is 10"L x 2 1/4"W x 6"H. Fish range from 2 1/2"L x 1 3/4"W to 3 1/4"L x 2 1/2"W.

Our house loves P'kolino products, and this Fishing Sorter is no exception. It is well-made and very durable, and the bright colors are appealing. My daughter was about a year old when we got it for her and is about 20 months now. She plays with it often. The size and color sorting is great for her development, and she loves the "clunk" sound the fish make when they are put in correctly. Highly recommended!

This is our first P'kolino toy and I have mixed feelings.

Pros: This toy is one everyone thinks is cool. Young and old. It is such a great idea, and kids gravitate to it. It is also well constructed. My guy has teethed and thrown and stood on this and it basically looks new after several months. The colors are vibrant, and the fish are adorable. It also helps develop hand-eye coordination and motor skills to get the fish in the slots.

Cons: It isn't a real size sorter. The medium sized fish can fit in the small (and obviously the larger) size hole. The large sized fish can fit in the medium. The ability to fit in smaller and larger holes makes this not a size sorter.

Overall it is a very nice toy. I am just a bit disappointed that it isn't what it is advertised as. Due to the high quality, I would purchase other toys from P'kolino.

Not happy at all with this and I bought two for my playgroup class anticipating it being a lot better. As Ashley pointed out, it is not at all a sorter. There is only about half a centimetre's difference between adjacent sizes and the shape of the yellow fish (mid size) means it fits through the blue (small size) slot. Also the hole at the back is so large if it is not standing up the fish fall out and if another fish is angled inside the next fish fall out anyway so lots of times no rewarding plonk. My 16 month olds think you put it face down and put the fish in the big mouth at the back, or just chew on the fishes and they struggle to line up the fishes and the slots so maybe it will be of some fine motor benefit.
But it looks pretty.

I honestly wasn't sure about buying this, it seemed kind of simple, but the children in my classroom love it, and it's not as simple as i thought. They are sorting the fish by size and color. Very nicely made too.

Very nice toy. Very simple, but my 18 month old grand daughter loves to play with it . She likes the plunking sound the fish make when they drop in. It is very well made. I think my grand son who is much younger will like it more.

This is very cute, but the fish fall out of the back constantly--even when they are being put in. This makes it a pain to transport and store...and the open hole in the back design is not as much fun to use as other designs might be (sliding door, maybe?).

I don't hate this, it certainly is charming, but I'm very ambivalent and it rarely makes it into the toy rotation.

This item is very well made (though not all products from this company are well made). The individual goldfish pieces are sturdy and very smooth. I appreciate the thoughtful design details, like the rounded corners and the "plunking" sound as each piece is dropped into their holes. My daughter started playing with this at 6 months and she loves to chew on the goldfish. I recently inspected the goldfish and they look good as new.

I bought two of these for first birthday presents. Both babies have small homes (one in a major downtown city apartment) and I liked the size of this toy. It's beautifully made and really cute!
Definitely worth the money!!
