Product Description

Price is for 2 Perplexus 3-D Mazes. Great for racing a friend! Perplexus is a maze game where players must maneuver a small marble around challenging barriers inside a transparent sphere. Unlike traditional flat-surface mazes that are composed of one path, Perplexus houses various exhilarating tracks with 100 barriers and provides a three dimensional experience. Players select which track they would like to attempt, and then must work with gravity and carefully shift, flip, and twist the sphere to guide the marble. Players can race each other or the clock. On top of being entertaining, Perplexus is also an educational toy, and assists in child development. It is a great toy for children to exercise their motor and dexterity skills, as well as improve their hand-eye coordination. Its small size makes it easily portable. No batteries required. Ages 6 and above.

I saw a kid in the airport playing with one of these and he was totally enthralled and entertained while his siblings were acting like a bunch of apes on pure sugar. I decided to order the 2 pack from Amazon. Opened one right away for grandchildren and later opened the second one to take to my office for kids to use. When I opened the second toy, there was no stainless ball inside the game, this being the essential part. I emailed Perplexus and asked customer service if they could correct. Several weeks later and not even one word from the company. Oh, they have a nice website and what I would say very ingenious toys, however, the time spent on designing toys is certainly lost in customer service. Amazon, on the other hand, immediately answered my question offering to pay shipping to send them back for credit. I had already thrown one box away so I am going to fix the bad one myself. Bottom line: 5 stars on the rating of the product. 0 stars on customer service from Perplexus, 5 stars on Amazon service.
Take your chances that you get the whole toy and save your boxes until you know, because right now, I'm only 1 for 2.

This is what my eight year old son has to say about Perplexus: First, I like this because it is challenging. You can not just pick it up the first day and expect to finish it that day. Secondly, I like it because there are some intersections or spaces where it is hard to know what to do next. Thirdly, I like it because it splits it up into three sections so if you fall off you do not have to go all the way back just to realize that you are going to fall off again and have to go all the way back there.
As a parent, I think this had been a great toy. Seems to be a big hit at family functions and events. Only problem is that it is a bit addicting once you try it!

I bought the two pack, one for my 9 year old, and one for her friend.

My daughter and her friend both love this ball! She even packed it in her carry on luggage for our recent trip to Florida - not a bad airplane game (albeit a bit loud with the ball clanging around but on a plane full of kids, noise was not a big factor).

However, the surprising aspect of this toy is that every adult that picks it up wants to play it/own it/win it. It is really easy to become obsessive about the ball.

It is really fun (though aggravating). It is also educational as it teaches good problem solving and logic skills which you need to maneuver through the game. It also works on your fine motor skills as, for example, a gentle tilt will move the ball to the next location but an overly aggressive tilt will put you back at square one. Ok maybe the motor skills is a bit of a reach!

My one complaint is that the path is marked with numbers. However, only a few of these numbers are printed in visible colors. The vast majority of the numbers are raised numbers in the same color as the maze track so you have to tilt and hold under the light and put your glasses on and peer closely to try and confirm where you are going next. Very odd since it would be simple enough to make all the numbers clearly visible. This creates an unnecessary and un-fun challenge. Otherwise the ball is a big hit.

One fun game for twice the price! Quick shipping and all is well with this product although only one item was shipped. The web description (& price!) indicate that there should be 2 items, but that doesn't seem to be the case; only one was shipped. I'd prefer that the order be filled, though since it is an Amazon third-party supplier, it looks like all I can do is return the product and either risk re-ordering or forget it. Perplexus Maze Game 2-pack I've always had great service from Amazon, even in rare cases of returns; hopefully, dealing with their "Amazon Verified Sellers" and return policies with not leave me disappointed...

After a summer filled with all the kids, cousins and adults playing Perplexus nearly nonstop, I knew this game was a winner. So when I was stumped on what to get for three kids ages 6 to 13, I turned to Perplexus. It was a huge hit! Girl or boy, child or adult, they all love trying to solve this fun and interactive puzzle.

One word of warning. Younger kids are tempted to roll the ball on the floor not realizing that this is a great way to scratch the clear plastic surface. If the surface gets to scratched, you can no longer play the game because you can't see the ball and tracks.

Bought this package for my two grandsons (age 4 & 7) who are mesmerized by the game. They have played with it a lot since I gave it to them. Would recommend it as it keeps the player occupied and thinking how to get from level to level. I do believe that an adult would, also, find it fascinating.

Maddening, I tell you, MADDENING!!!

This "toy" is a triumph of simplicity and ingenuity. It requires superior vision, a complaint - following the escalating number path is difficult, hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. I picked it up for the first time last night and so far have only got to 30 out of 100 markers.

Hardware issues:
The ball occasionally jumps a wall
Company logo is sometimes a visual block
The structure itself is a visual block

Sure to disappear hours of your time.
