2025 UPDATE:
A Place to Grow continues to be featured in Learn, Grow, Eat & GO! (LGEG)--the innovative new evidence-based curriculum project of the International Junior Master Gardener® Program. LGEG grows good kids through an interdisciplinary program combining academic achievement, gardening, nutrient-dense food experiences, physical activity, and school and family engagement.

"But I'm not like other seeds. I'm a floater, not a grower."

"You are a grower," whispered the Wind, "because that's what seeds do--they grow."

No matter where it lands or how desperately it hopes, the tiny seed can't find a place to grow. Will the tiny seed ever find a home, or will it keep searching and floating forever?

Together, the book's universal story, lyrical cadence and intriguing perspectives vividly convey the inspiring journey of a tiny seed navigating its way through a very big world.

With playful charm and touching insight, A Place to Grow joyfully affirms that there is a special place, plan and purpose for each of us.

About the Author

Stephanie Bloom dreamed of being a writer since she was a tiny seed. Deciding that the legal field was not her place to put down professional roots, Stephanie left the practice of law after a handful of years and floated cross-country to Los Angeles where she pursued more creative endeavors as a writer and original content developer for family films, children's books, and interactive media. A Place to Grow is Stephanie's first book for young readers, which was soon followed by The Drummer Who Lost His Beat. Stephanie will always be searching for new places to bloom and grow.
