You can't go wrong with this book. It provides insight into the appeal of substances within us in great detail, and comes from government research. This is really a unique collection of work and topics, and is executed quite well. Even details on the effect of your astral body is covered in this book, which is just awesome coming from government research. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a greater understanding of human addiction, our just the curious mystic looking for rare insight on the illegal drugs we typically only hear propaganda about.

Everyone should read this book - especially teachers and parents. Incredible insight as to how drugs evolved in our society - who knew? The tragic side of society is that some do not feel comfortable with self and therefore seek alternatives in their quest for nirvana. Double edged sword is what they find in drugs - prescription or illegal - no difference in my opinion. The book title is extremely fitting.
