At its best, this book is like putting the mind in front of a mirror and seeing all the dirt. In the reading, I realized that I still have a lot of cleaning to do and the book provides practical exercises to help me do that cleaning.
Despite its usefulness, the book provides fairly standard Buddhist guidance and on the whole the writing itself is not very compelling.
While it's not one of the best books I've read on the subject, I still find it a helpful reminder and call to a moral, compassionate, enlightened existence.
