Editorial Reviews

"Although I have homeschooled for several years now, I found Plan to Be Flexible to be full of practical advice gleaned from real-life experiences." -Brandy Ferrell of

"Alicia wrote about things I had not even thought of before. When I first started reading the book, I felt like Alicia was in my living room talking to me as a friend.  I especially liked the action plans at the end of each chapter. Plan to Be Flexible has given me so many new ideas and tips to try out."-Rebecca of Our Life-Home and School blog

"This book was invaluable for a beginning homeschooler like me. What an incredible resource for planning our future as a homeschool family!"-Heidi, homeschool mom of three

"In the first pages alone, Plan to Be Flexible spoke so clearly and loudly to my heart. This book has given such a beautiful vision--a clarity as to what we must do as parents to truly cultivate a love of learning in our children (while still building relationships). This book has been a wonderful guide to walk us toward healing and wholeness."-Jennifer King of

From the Author

Plan to Be Flexible: Designing a Homeschool Rhythm and Daily Plan that Works for Your Family has been a wonderful avenue for me to share about how it is possible to have purposeful-yet-free-form homeschooling environment--one that isn't just a formula, but is a realistic approach to the homeschooling life in the midst of the modern American family.

My goal is to offer homeschoolers: first, a tremendous amount of practical tools about how to make homeschooling work; and second, permission, freedom and grace to live a homeschooling lifestyle that fits their individual family.

"Rhythm-based homeschooling" is the book's focus. I believe that an emphasis on rhythms over schedules has the power to set many moms free from the "shoulds," "musts" and "have-tos" of homeschooling so they can focus on cultivating the pure joy possible from the homeschooling experience.
I'm incredibly excited to share this educational resource with you, and to encourage you with practical tips to help you live the joy-filled homeschooling life you desire!
