Initially when I started reading the latest novel of Kathy Dunnehoff's, I figured it would be a good story that I could pick up and read casually. I thought it would be the kind of book that I could read little snippets of here and there (between the demands of my little one and life's daily chaos.) I thought that I could get away with maybe sneaking in a chapter before bed and being able to settle with reading the story over the course of the week... DANG IT!!! It was just too stinkin' good to 'casually' read! I ended up zipping right through it and reading in every free moment I had.

Ms. Dunnehoff delivers another quirky story that makes you want to get to the next chapter and the next... While you don't want to believe that any person should (or could!)live without romance and love, the main character, Hattie, is pretty convincing that she could possibly do without. Her 'plan' is detailed and scientific, but, like all things in life, the plan has a funny way of evolving and changing - just as all the characters in the book do. Once again, Dunnehoff provides characters that are SO real and genuine that you can't help but wish to be a little bit artsy, like Rose - a little simple, like Joe - and maybe even a little ballsy, like Angela. Too good to be just a casual read, you end up savoring bits and pieces of the story - like they are bites of Tiramisu... Well done, Kathy!

I didn't enjoy Plan On It by Kathy Dunnehoff as much as I was hoping. I had read The Do Over and did enjoy it so I thought that I would enjoy this one just as much and maybe even more.
I have never stopped reading a book part way but struggled to continue this one. I am quite happy that I did stick to it as the story did get better after the mid way point, but I would still have to give this book a 3.5 out of 5.
I did enjoy the whole "I am women, I don't need a man to help me fulfill my dreams/plan" as I always said that all I wanted in life was to be a mom :-) Apparently even my kindergarten teacher told my mom that I had announced that to my entire class during a career discussion lol....thank goodness I was blessed 2 times with that "career dream :-)"
I enjoyed the entire "being an aphid" part of the story, but wish that the excitement from the midway of the book had started earlier on.
I know that everyone interprets things differently, and I know that there are many many people who have read this book and enjoyed it immensely, and many more will read it and enjoy it just as much, but in my humble opinion, I was expecting to have enjoyed it a bit more than I did. Please don't get me wrong, it was not a bad book, it was quite good, but maybe I just had too high of an expectation.
I will definitely look for more books by Kathy Dunnehoff, as I just know that I one day I will find one that will knock my socks off, as she really is a gifted author.
I definitely do recommend others to read this book, as I always say, you never know just what you will find inbetween the covers.

I enjoyed every well-written, well-edited word of the delightful story, "Plan On It," not least because the characters all seemed to be real people with not one super beautiful, sexy, billionaire in sight and with Hattie, herself, being pretty (with hang-ups about her looks!) not drop-dead gorgeous, so it was easy to identify with her!

The imagery was terrific and the dialogues were really wonderful; they seemed like actual conversations that you're eavesdropping on than something you're reading in a story. So, if you're looking for a really great romantic comedy, I highly recommend that you get this one and read it ASAP! Happy Reading! ❤️

Finally got a kindle and first on my list of downloads were Kathy Dunnehoff's "Plan on it" and "The Do over". Just finished "Plan on it", and I got a big kick out of it! Very funny, laughed and laughed. Anyone in the mood for a little contemporary romance with some surprising twists, incorporating an original, comical turn of phrase, will like Dunnehoff's book. A fast, enjoyable read, you can visualize the whole thing. I agree, it would make a great movie. Next up, "The Do over". Looking forward to it and any new titles by this author!

In this time of runaway best sellers, I always get a special thrill when I find a great book that all my friends AREN'T talking about....yet! I like to take the path less traveled. I discovered Kathy Dunnehoff via another author and I'm on a quest to read everything she's written so far.
This book was a bit slow to start, I thought. I think that slower start plays well with the fact that Hattie is an intellect, it takes some time to get to know her and understand her quirkiness.
Once the story gets rolling, hang on tight! What might seem like fluff, really packs a punch. I wasn't expecting the depth of the storyline involving Angela and Rose. Every time Hattie was near a child, or holding an infant, her desire for motherhood was palpable. I'd say that's a story well written.
It's almost the end of summer and I've discovered my perfect beach reads!

It has been a very long time since a book has actually made me laugh out loud. Last night, I was reading Plan on it in bed and woke my husband up TWICE, because I was shaking the bed with laughter. This book is well written, fast paced, and the characters are so well rounded, you will swear you know them. The weather has been dreary out, December is a muddy mess out my window, but reading this book has brought me a lightness of being that I sorely needed. I love it when an author writes well enough to effect my mood. Will be ordering the rest of her books, and telling my friends about Plan on it.
