Clearly engaging, clearly rewarding, clearly fun. The fresh take on the stimulating puzzle craze. The interactive brain teaser is designed for long-lasting play. With a pliable, orbee-tuff outer shell, and unique inner maze. Stuff with planet dog eats and enjoy. This toy is intended for puzzle-play, not chewing, so it is not rated on The chew-o-meter scale. To clean, fill with hot water, shake vigorously and rinse.

my lab/dobe mix loved this toy. it immediately became her favorite! she loved rolling it around and working that treat out. with the right treat, it would keep her occupied for quite some time. However, it really only lasted about 4 wks until she became inpatient and ripped the green plastic maze right out of the rubber ball. She is a very strong chewer (when she wants to be) and is extremely intelligent. I also bought her one of the advanced tornado puzzles, which she solved in less than 5 min. I agree with another poster that if the toy had a tougher/harder outer ball, it would be much better!!! oh well!
I pop a few treats in this, and watch him work them out.. fun to watch.
I do take it away when he has it empty and do not leave him alone with it.. since I have no doubt he would chew it to bits.
The outside is a soft rubbery material (so kind to floors and objects when rolled around) but also easy for the pup to pick up and take over to a favorite snack area in the room..
Treats.. you do not have to use any specific treats, anything that fits through the hole & can get around the maze works great..
-wag more soft & chewy treats are great the are a nice size for the maze (the minis are too tiny)..
- breaking up freeze dried liver treats or milk bones etc can work great too... so lots of options.
I love watching him roll it a little then sniff the path to see if any came out..
While this Maze toy functions well enough as a puzzle, I am not able to use it on frequent basis because of how difficult it is to clean. After every use there is hair on the outside and kibble crumbs left inside. To be fair, my puppy eats grain free which is probably a bit more oily than some kibble. As directed, I fill the internal compartment with water (and once added soap) and shake. I think the real problem is the fact that it takes forever and ever to dry. It's usually still wet on the inside the next time I go to use it and that makes more residue collect on the inside.
UPDATE: I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars because while I dislike this food toy, my dog absolutely LOVES it. I would say that this is her favorite of all the food dispensing toys. Since this is so difficult to clean & dry, I ended up purchasing a variety of toys to dispense her meals. After watching her play with all of them it became clear that this was her favorite. So now I'm back buying another one - maybe I can rotate them so that she can have one more often
The other dog just tries to eat it when there's stuff in it, so it's probably better for dogs who like a challenge vs solving problems with chewing. (Not to say chewing wouldn't be a good way to get the treat out, but it wouldn't be good for the ball)
the inner colored plastic is hard and brittle --which doesn't collect any dust. But that's not the part rolling on the floor.
I also find the holes too big for kibble -- too easy to dispense, so its best for chunkier treats.
