Great for school lunches!
Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2011
I bought this for my first grade daughter and have had it several months now. It is expensive, but I am planning on this being her lunch box for the rest of elementary school (through 8th grade). It is very durable, extremely easy to clean, and holds enough food that my daughter eats the rest of her lunch for her snack after school. She is not a huge eater, but because she always has plenty left over, I assume it would hold enough for a big eater. Also, I use either the large round container or a baggie to pack her snack and put that in the outside pocket as well. Also, since time is an issuewhen eating lunch, I LOVE that she simply sits down and opens the lid and is ready to eat, nothing to open really. She can also eat several different things at once since they are all there. Finally when it is time to clean up, there isn't anything to throw away, just close the lid, lock it, and zip the bag and off you go.Can't say enough about it.

So far my lunch packing has been greatly aided by these boxes. No more looking for small containers and lost lids! I can really achieve a zero waste lunch. My only problem is that when i put a fruit like raspberries or strawberries in one of the compartments (they were washed and patted dry), it does leak to other compartments and out into the carry case. I suppose the fruit gets jostled from being a backpack. You can really only put really dry foods in the main box. Everything else needs to go into the rounders or you'll have a gloppy mess.

Great quality, excellent idea. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the compartments are too shallow, as a result doesn't fit much food even for a child. I usually have to pack extra food on the front pocket. My kids made their friends jealous at school when they saw the new lunch box. Despite the shallowness, I still recommend it, just put more food on the front pocket and it will be fine.

Awesome product for cold lunches. Containers are a little tough for children to open.

At first, I was shocked by the price of the Planetbox, but I went ahead & ordered it. I'm so glad that I did! My daughter loves her Planetbox & can't wait to see what I fill it with each day. I love that it is safe, sturdy, & all I have to do is fill the compartments to know my daughter has enough food! I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a lunchbox!

We love this lunch box, I love that it isn't plastic, and I love that I don't have to search for lids for containers each morning. It fist a sandwich, it fits everything we need to send to school, it is expensive, but worthy. We got ours as a Santa gift.

I love this box because the containers are small (more appropriate serving sizes for my 4th grader) and it forces me to be more creative with whole food lunches b/c there are sections that I "want" to fill. Easy to clean, great quality.

I love these! Both of my daughters use them. Making lunches has become a family affair. I have found that lunches have become a lot more fun and healthy. Keeps yogurt refrigerator cold all day when you use their ice pack. A+++

My 5 year old granddaughter wanted this lunch box and was thrilled to get it at Christmas from us. Her mother proceeded to tell my other daughter how great it is and keeps food cold, etc. She was going to buy two for her sons.
