I can say that for the price paid, it's a very nice case. The latches and and two locks work very well. (Comes with two keys) There's a little bit of flex when you press down into the center of the box while closed but there again it's not a $400 pelican case, still more than durable enough to protect you firearm. The handle feels strong enough to carry everything fully stored with no flexing or bending. I don't plan on ever getting it wet or submerged so I can't speak on the waterproofing O-ring. There's two holes in the front to add your own locks. The larger size case fits my AR-15 with enough leftover room to store extra attachments/equipment.
Overall a great case, recommend for first time buyers like myself or anyone on a budget.
Try to cut out the pluck and pick foam outline of your firearm in as few pieces as you can, then cut the cutout in half and put back into your case so your firearm fits flush to the top.
The CONS: 1. I don't like the pull and pluck foam. It looks sloppy unless the item you are putting in there has all right angles. It also feels weaker than traditional solid foam that was cut. I will likely order a solid piece of foam and cut it myself. 2. The latches are kind of a pain. The center one seems harder to get to than it should. They "pop" open way too easy. They get in the way when opening and closing. You have to take an extra step to put them in the fully open position or they catch the lid when opening or closing. These are all things I can live with for this price.
I took a shot with this and couldn't be happier. The plastic is very sturdy and the latches are great quality. I wouldn't trust the locks in them but there are 2 holes for padlocks (which are required for flying anyway). There's also plenty of room on each end to drill into the tabs and put 2 more locks, which I did.
I would highly recommend this case.
