One popular misconception is regarding protein for athletes. There is a section in this book that looks at how bad animal protein can be for athletes. As Rogers writes, humans do not have the enzymes necessary to break down and digest animal-based protein and raw meats. Digesting clean, unprocessed foods can both preserve energy and speed up the digestion process.
If you are an athlete looking for an added edge or just someone who is looking to become more fit, this is a great book to download. Well-written, to-the-point, and well-organized, I found it to be extremely helpful for myself and my clients.
The book itself is really good, I haven't had a chance to read through it properly but I can say so far it has been worth a read, the grammar and spelling is excellent and haven't noticed any errors.
It also talks about why animal protein and processed food is bad which I think is very interesting as I think in modern times most athletes usually have some of that in their diet.
If you're an athlete, give this book a shot. You may pickup some very interesting things.
