It is a KEW GARDENS publication and one of a series on flowering plants. IF you are at all interested in HARDY GARDEN GERANIUMS and want to understand the differences in species etc... by all means, GET THIS BOOK.
I live in Zone 4-5 Alaska and this book has really helped me understand the plants and which ones to get and grow on. Even tho it's only March, I've had some of the Geraniums flower most of the winter!
Warning: Hardy Geraniums can be addictive.
Yet, if you want a book with lots of beautiful photos and basic information on many different geraniums, this book is for you. Thus I decided to compromise my rating. For what I wanted half a star, but others may love this book, came to a neutral rating. Hope my review is helpful.

The book is very comprehensive and amply illustrated; however not all the varieties mentioned in the text have been illustrated - a feature of many such books, which is always disappointing.
The book is an American edition for American gardeners, and as such one has not only to adjust oneself to American spellings and lexical choices, but also to appreciate that the range of cranesbills readily cultivated in North America is not the same as the range we cultivate in Europe, and as such there was no mention of certain species and varieties, which we may find familiar.
Although I may possibly buy other titles in its series, as an introductory guide to gardening with cranesbills. it would not be my initial recommendation.
I enjoyed reading the book and I am sure it will become another source of reference for me in the future.
