"Reading Planted with Hope by Tricia Goyer and Sherry Gore is a delightful, poignant, and satisfying experience! There are no characters in this novel; only dear friends whose lives are unfolding before you. Each friend is developed so well that you feel their pain and cheer at their triumphs."
"Planted with Hope is the delightful second installment in the Pinecraft Pie Shop series by Tricia Goyer and Sherry Gore. Tricia and Sherry make a great team as they combine their individual talents and strengths to write this series. The unique Amish setting of Pinecraft, combined with the interesting history of World War II victory gardens, provide an enjoyable backdrop for this story of hope and love."
"'Hope' as a person and 'hope' as a feeling, lend many twists and turns to the plot of this book. I love how Hope struggles with her many emotions and how the hope of finding new happiness, play out in this book.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to read the Amish genre, as I couldn't put it down until I had finished it."

Hope Miller is a young Amish women who along with her parents and three sisters have moved to Pinecraft, Florida to help aid in her father's illness. When they moved from Ohio Hope had to leave the one thing that meant so much to her behind, her beloved garden. Hope has always felt peace in her garden from the noices from a large family.
Hope hasn't felt as though she fit in with the community of Pinecraft and has made a plan to move back to Ohio and help her cousin raise her children and take care of the large garden. What Hope didn't plan on was making friends with a young motherless girl, Emma. When an unfortunate accident happens with Emma and Hope is there to save Emma, a bond forms between the two.
When members of the community come up with a plan to help keep Hope in Pinecraft she forms many bonds and the changes within her start her down a different path. Hope's wish for a garden of her own may be a possibility. But what challenges does it have Hope dealing with?
This is a story of love, but not just for a garden. Will hopes of a family of her own become a possibility?
When you read this book you will follow along has Hope learns a community garden can harvest feelings she wasn't aware of.
Along with this great story there are Amish Proverbs at the beginning of each chapter and recipes at the end! You will also learn the story behind the Victory Gardens that were popular during war times.
I highly recommend Planted with Hope along with the first book of the series Me, Myself, and Pie. I will be anxiously waiting for the next book in the series.
I did not receive a complimentary copy of this book! I have also posted a 5 star rating!
Amish fiction can sometimes feel trite, but that's not the case with "Planted With Hope." Readers are treated to a genuine look into the Amish lifestyle, replete with flaws that many in the English world (how the Amish refer to those who aren't Amish) experience.
If you're seeking a well-written, uplifting story with realistic characters and a very believable story line, you'll truly enjoy "Planted With Hope."
I can't wait for the upcoming third book in this series.
