No Cords, No Compromise
Plantronics BackBeat GO 2 wireless earbuds and charging case deliver immersive audio for your non-stop life with up to 14.5 hours of use on the go. Once you experience the rich bass, crisp highs, and natural midtones, you'll want every minute the charging case offers so you can lose yourself in the soundtrack of your day.
BackBeat GO 2 earbuds are designed to seal in the bass and block out the noise -- so lose the cord, free your music, and still take that call. There are three sizes of eartips and two stabilizers to provide a secure, comfortable fit.
Stay Charged, Stay Moving
Thanks to the protective soft charging case, you'll get up to 14.5 hours of listening time with the BackBeat GO 2 wireless earbuds (from fully charged case). Two LEDs on the charging case provide key information. Press the battery icon on the case and one LED blinks to show you the battery level of the case. While charging, the LED on the case that shows the earbuds' status will blink every ten seconds until fully charged. Just 20 minutes connected to the charging case adds up to another hour of listening time.
Without using the case for additional on-the-go charging, you'll get up to 4.5 hours of listening time and up to 5 hours of talk time from these ultralight earbuds, as well as up to 10 days of standby time. If you forget to connect to the charging case, the DeepSleep hibernation mode keeps the earbuds charged for up to six months, ready for use.
Unleash Your Music and GO
The Bluetooth-enabled BackBeat GO 2 wireless earbuds easily slip into your pocket, but still pack a full-on stereo sound. You can listen to music, chat with friends, or watch movies on your tablet -- even play games on the go.
A convenient inline controller lets you manage calls, play and pause music, and skip tracks while your smartphone is conveniently tucked away in your pocket or bag. An inline microphone captures your voice so you sound clear and natural during phone calls.
You can rely on the BackBeat GO 2 to work as hard as you do -- through rain, sweat, and the inevitable coffee spill. BackBeat GO 2 earbuds are protected against sweat and moisture damage by P2i technology. The nano-coating is applied during the manufacturing process, resulting in invisible liquid repellent properties that also makes the earbuds more reliable, wherever your busy life takes you.
Onscreen Battery Meter
Keep track of the battery life of your BackBeat GO 2 earbuds with a handy battery meter that automatically displays onscreen for iPhone and iPad. The free Plantronics Battery Meter widget enables a battery meter on smartphones running Android 4.0 and later and tablets running Android 3.0 and later.

-Sweatproof, I purchased these for the gym where I sweat profusely and these have worked well for the past few weeks being soaked as I exercise
-Stays put once stuck into my ear, doesn't move around or fall out when running, biking, or lifting weights
-Playback quality is decent and volume can adjust loudly to drown out the easy listening crap they play at my gym
-Battery pack case is great for storage, after using the headset at the gym I plug it in and throw them in my gym bag and am comfortable knowing my earbuds will be charged for the next day at the gym. I can get a full weeks worth of 2 hour workouts (Roughly 10 hours) off of a fully charged headset and backup battery/case
-Sound quality isn't the best I've experienced for headphones
-Comfortable for an hour or two but afterwards begin to irritate my ears (with the smallest ear rubber pieces attached). Could just be that they are too large for my ear canals
-Battery doesn't last much more than 2.5 hours, but I don't use them for more than 2 hours at a time anyway
-The wire that connects the earbuds together is a bit longer than I would like it to be, it flops around while running and tends to creep over to the right side due to the weight of the volume controller switch. I intend to shorten it by coiling it in the middle and securing it with a rubber band to take out the unnecessary slack as another review suggested
I also didn't mind the short-ish battery life as compared to the BlueBuds X's, as I could go for about a week of running before needing to recharge them. (not a long distance runner) The battery pouch is nice and alleviates the issue, but for how I used the earbuds, I never actually used the pouch for charging.
I do wish they'd come with some sort of cable management though, as the cable between buds is a bit long. I ended up buying an accessory kit from the BlueBuds X to get my hands on the cable crimp, which worked perfectly with them.
Unfortunately, after about 10-11 months of using them 5-6 times a week, the main power button started to not respond well, giving me issues turning on or off the BackBeats, sometimes activating things like the call back function or just not responding at all without about 5 minutes of fiddling. This is likely due to how I would completely turn off the earbuds after every run instead of just disconnecting them from my Moto X and letting them hibernate. It also didn't occur to me until a few weeks after the warranty was up to get them replaced, which is on me.
Since the earbuds failed due to seeming wear and tear for how much I used them and I was the one at fault for not getting them warrantied, I can't dock them for breaking down.
They are overall a good set of bluetooth earbuds, but I would improve things like the balance and support (to help keep them in my ears better) and also to have some sort of cable management like the BlueBuds X. That said, as a replacement I'm going with the Jabra Rox, as reviews seem to indicate they are better than the BackBeats and generally on par with the BlueBuds X, aside from the battery life, while being cheaper than the BlueBuds X. They also solve my issue of the buttons failing, as they have a magnet sleep function.
The battery case somewhat makes up for the short battery life but does not lessen the frustration of the unit dying during use. I still have to keep a pair of conventional headphones in my bag for the inevitable midday charge that is required.
The tinny sound inherent to many BT headphones have caused me to relegate these to mostly podcast listening.
Pros: Compact design, sturdy build
Cons: Limited battery life, frequent connection issues, sub par audio quality, outmatched by far cheaper wired units
