I have paired it with my BT Avaya desk phone, my Windows Phone and my BT dongle on the PC - though while it can be paired with multiple devices it can only be connected to two devices at a time. I am not reducing any stars as it never claimed to be able to be connected to more than two, and it will connect automatically to device 3 if one of the first 2 devices disappears. So for example when connect to my deskphone and PC if I walk away with the headset and my cell phone in my pocket it will connect to my cell automatically.
Lastly call quality - people I talk to don't hear ANY background noise, I can start driving my car, get out at work, go up in the elevator, sit down at my desk and the person on the other end thinks I am still at home! Reception quality on the otherhand is good but nothing noteworthy.
Overall best BT headset I have ever owned (and I still haven't talked about the voice commands, how well it works with windows phone, etc_
1: Volume - The Pro isn't quite loud enough for windy days running or on the bike. The Legend is loud enough.
2: UC - I Skype all the time, and the Legend makes that more convenient and more comfortable.
3: Controls - The Pro works great, but the controls on the Legend blow it away. On/off switch is positioned better, more tactile, and works quickly.
4: Range - I don't see a significant increase in range with the Legend, but it is somewhat better.
5: Charging - magnetic connector! Easy, quick, includes a charging/travel case.
1: Comfort - these are by far the two most comfortable headsets I've ever worn, but the Pro is slightly more comfy.
2: Noise cancellation - The only true area for improvement for the Legend. I don't understand the top/bottom mic design compared to the inner/outer design of the Pro. The Pro is much better at noise cancellation.
Overall, I'd highly suggest the Legend, but you can't go wrong with either model.
The headset is good - by far the best BT one I've used. There's still some static and it's not perfect like a wired unit. BUT, and it's a big but, you can wear this all day long and the sound is good for both parties.
I would buy this unit again in heartbeat.
It works flawlessly across my iPhone 4, iPad 3 and most importantly my Linux laptop. I did read about the iPhone 5 issues, but as I am not looking to upgrade at the moment it does not really bother me. To me the fact that it works perfectly with Linux is far more important to me, especially because we use soft phones at work, it allows me answer incoming calls from any of the devices.
I did do some call tests in noisy environments and it seemed to do fine. Also in terms of range it is more than enough (the sound did crackle noticably once I had 3 plaster board walls between myself and the laptop, but in my opinion that is perfectly acceptable).
The only one thing that I would suggest Plantronics improve is the silicon ear piece. I found none of the sizes creates a perfect seal. It would be great if there was the option of a tapered ear piece (simillar to the Explorer) or as they have on stage monitors). However, the headset stays when walking, so I can live with it.
