Plantskydd's liquid animal repellent is a 100% safe and effective solution to repel deer, rabbits, elk, moose, hares, voles, squirrels, chipmunks, and other herbivores.
Plantskydd works on flowers, perennials, fruit and vegetable gardens, shrubs, trees, and bulbs.
Plantskydd is safe for use in protecting vegetables, legumes, fruit and other food crops from animal browse damage.
Don’t spray edible parts of fruits and vegetables.
Pollinator Friendly. Won't harm birds and bees.

Application

During active growing season apply before animal browse begins.
Treat new growth and reapply every 2-4 weeks.
For dormant season protection, apply every 3 months (Some areas may see up to 6 months protection).

Is there really a solution to Rabbits and Deer??

Admittedly this is the second time I have bought this very expensive, not totally dependable repellent, so I obviously can't be completely unhappy. But, in spite of the marketing, the rains of the Pacific Northwest do seem to wash away this repellent. It definitely doesn't last for weeks or months, even if it has a chance to dry completely. However, my biggest complaint is the lack of a replacement sprayer with this large refill. The original sprayer is just a cheap piece of plastic that constantly clogs. I cleaned it thoroughly, rinsed and soaked all the sprayer parts, but now the original sprayer doesn't work at all. I replaced it with a new, more durable sprayer which is now also clogged. I have cleaned it out, and it works for a short while, but then immediately clogs. How do other people get this thick solution through any sprayer? This is the reason for my lower scores.
I have given "scent" a 5 rating because this totally foul smell is likely the reason it repels the deer and rabbits - if you can get it though the sprayer.

I ran out of the deer spray i have used for years, and my local feed store was out of it,, so when i mentioned that i was going on vacation in a week to my neighbor, she told me she uses Plantskydd. I went online to Amazon and ordered it.
Got it in 3 days, and I sprayed everything thoroughly 4 separate times in 1 week before I went on vacation...when I got back in 2 weeks, all my hostas were eaten! And flower tops, and bushes. I was sick! And I paid $66.00 for this stuff! I wrote to the company asking for a refund and mailed the letter to the address shown on the bottle 2 months ago and still have heard nothing. It says its guaranteed! Don't take a chance on this!!!! And the company does not stand behind their product!

I bag the pears on my trees, and this year, the squirrels and chipmunks are especially voracious in eating and destroying them. I usually see a few bags with chewed up pears on the ground each day. So I sprayed the repellent and followed the instructions meticulously-- you can see the purplish stain on the trees and leaves. Not only did this fail to deter the animals, things got even worse. Two days later, I have about 30 bags of damaged pears on the ground!
It's like the squirrels and chipmunks are thumbing their noses at me and showing me how I wasted over 60 dollars for nothing.
So frustrating. Completely worthless product. Don't waste your money!

I know I gave it 5 stars for all ratings but you need to know that the scent is VERY powerful, which is why it works so well. This past weekend was spent tidying a very large fern garden by removing last year's growth. This leaves the new fronds, which the deer attack like a kid in a candy shop, very vulnerable to damage. I immediately spray this product and have had exceptionally good luck with minimal damage. This year I even saw a vulture circling overhead while I sprayed (assuming that he could smell the blood aroma)…………...

We moved to a wonderful old Tudor house near a forest preserve. We wanted to plant a line of yew bushes across the front our house, but the nursery wouldn't guarantee these because of the abundance of deer here. Apparently yew bushes are like hors d'oeuvres for deer. But we went ahead and had them planted, hoping that we could find a deer repellent that works. We bought an inexpensive plastic sprayer (ITISLL 1.3Gallon Garden Pump Sprayer Portable Yard & Lawn Sprayer with Brass Wand and Shoulder Strap) and applied the Plantskydd as directed. That was almost 6 weeks ago and so far there's been no damage to our new bushes. The real test will come as winter progresses, and there are fewer plants for deer to feed on. Our yew bushes may be on the menu - but so far, so good!

Good until it rains...

I spent the extra money to try this, over the big box store product. Yes, it works well...smells awful and looks like you slaughtered an animal over your garden at first, but it did not last months, or even weeks! Like all of the rest, after the first rain, the deer came in and ate the tops of all of the hostas that were sprayed! That was about one week later. Seems typical for all of these types of deterrent sprays, though, except this brand is expensive!!!!

We ordered this as it was recommended by our landscaper as a very good product.
We had new plants, trees and flowers put in our front yard and wanted to protect them from the deer.
We sprayed all of the new landscaping. It didn't even last a week. All of our new shrubs and perennials, things that were supposed to be deer resistant in the first place were eaten down to sticks and stumps. I would like to ask for my money back, but that wouldn't even really help. Thousands of dollars of vegetation GONE, eaten within a week.
I would not recommend this product for anyone or anything.

Best Safest Deer deterrent

I’ve tried them all. This is the only one that has been effective against our suburban deer. Overpopulation has made it difficult to grow any flowers. This works to at least hold them off for several days. I spray all of our ornamentals about once a week. It smells horrible so I spray at dusk. The smell has usually almost gone away by morning (at least to we humans). Our biggest problem is a neighbor’s apple tree that is almost on the property line. Ninety percent of the apples fall into our yard and onto our driveway. The deer squirrels, rabbits,, etc. Leave a disgusting health problem with their poop and apple remnants attracting flies, ants and other insects. This won’t take care of the bugs but it seems to keep the deer at bay.
