This welding cart is pretty sturdy when assembled properly, its not the biggest cart on the market, but it puts my welder about 3 foot off the floor which is perfect for me, It fit my Hobart handler 140 perfectly.

As for the materials, it is a good kit, thick enough to be sturdy and yet light enough to move around easier. looks nice < gloss black > and holds my helmet and my welder just as I want it.

My only complaints is that the kit came with a ton of extra washers, and not nearly enough lock washers, I am thinking someone forgot how to count or something, but that is a very minor issue and was solved in about 2 minutes as I had a few lock washers in my garage to make due with.

in short, if you want a better cart then this, you're going to have to build it yourself, and its gonna take time, effort, and money that isn't needed when you can pick this cart up for super cheap. This cart is much better quality then the hobart cart IMO, and I am happy I bought it!

This cart is easy to put together-Goes together with bolts and nuts not screws- it is very strong no flexing with my Hobart auto arc 130 mig welder. Just the right size for welding.
The second shelf is nice for holding extra things like gloves, extra tips, nozzles and rolls of wire. Can't beat the price even with the shipping cost.

First, the bad: This is how I used to think of cheap Chinese goods. I thought they'd moved past the funny smells and bad QA. But as soon as I opened the cheap packaging that smelled of (what is that smell...nerve gas and plutonium?) sweatshop manufacturing, I could see this was not assembled with care. In fact there were sticky cola stains on two of the panels. Couldn't they have cleaned that up? And they should've included a couple more short bolts and a couple fewer long ones to make the hardware work out right.
But, OK, the assembly works. The "instructions" were wrong, however. The picture in the packaging shows the top shelf attached by the wrong holes, and perfectly horizontal instead of tilted as pictured on this site and in my picture. The warning label was pretty amusing, with misspellings and the seemingly needless warning to never weld the gas bottle on(to?) the cart...
It's flimsy, but strong enough for a regular sized gas bottle and a pretty heavy welder. The folded edges aren't welded, and the metal is thin. The powder coating is pretty good, though, and it does look the part with my black welder.
NOTE: This was suggested as a companion to my Eastwood 175 MIG welder purchase, but it doesn't really fit it. I had to make a plywood base to raise the welder above the top shelf lips so that I could open the side panel for access to the wire and feed mechanism. And I had to drop that side's hanger down to clear the side panel as well.

This cart is neither to big nor too small. It is well thought out and just the right size to keep my Hobart 140 MIG welder, gas cylinder, visor, gloves, and clamps organized and ready for the occasional welding project that comes up.

This welding cart is OK! I baught it cause I wanted a cheap welding cart just to start out with that could also hold my gear. The cart did have some places where they didnt weld completely and upon opening the box to assemble I thought it would be a pain to put together. Looked like alot of peices and the instruction manual sucked. You couldnt read half the words in it and was very generic instructions. I still was able to assemble by just looking at the generic illustrations. Even came with extra hardware which is nice. The top of cart that ur welder sits on is to small. I have a Hobart Handler 140 MIG welder and it BARELY fits on it and even then u cant access the side panel which means u cant change ur wire or read recommended welding settings unless u take the welder off. Im thinking of cutting the left side of the cart and prying the lipflat so I can access side panel.

As long as you tighten down the Fasteners this is a sturdy littl cart, handles my Lincoln Welder easilly with a tank on the back. The Castors could be bigger and made of rubber for rolling across shop floor easier.

whent together OK except 1 piece had to be straightened. However, Hobart 140 welder is slightly wider than the place for it so some bending was needed to get the welder to fit. The chains to hold the tank for MIG welding don't hold the tank real tight so I added a bolt to tighten them. Rolls around fine for now. Will see if the small wheels will hold up over time.

For the price you cannot beat it. Bag for the screws was open, but it was all in the box. Assembled easily and does the job. If you are going to move it around a lot I would get a more sturdy unit, but that would also mean you are going to pay more. Over all I think its a excellent stand for the price and would recommend it to a friend. Update 11-14-14 I added swivel wheels replacing the fixed rear wheel to make it move around easier. I still think this is a excellent cart for the price.
