Received this unit today and worked like a charm for what I needed it to. The only issue that I had with it is the plastic case that it came it was shattered so the lid is not able to be securely closed for transport. Item arrived in shipping envelope with no padding...should have been shipped in a box to protect the thin plastic case.

Decent tool but needs a few improvements.

It's a decent tool for what comes with it and how much it costs. I see some people have complained about theirs not working after a short use. This is because they leave it on the highest setting and leave it there until they're finished. Don't do that. Let it heat up to max heat and then turn it down. The tips fit in a little loose but I took care of that problem with better screws. Don't over tighten the screw because the strip out easily. My main problem with this is the plastic welding rods. There are 3 different types of plastic that are white. But there's no way of telling which are which. So I may waste my time welding something only to find out it didn't work because I used the wrong type of plastic rod. Such a small problem that could be rectified with so little effort. There are rubber bands hold each type of rod together. Maybe a small piece of paper with the code for the type of plastic it is would be one way of getting rid of this problem and it would cost the manufacturer little money to do so. There's you a clue, Blue!
