"Glue" or "adhesive" is not the right word for this stuff. It is a solvent that makes the surface of the plastic gooey so the pieces stick together as if they were molded that way, so it welds the pieces together; thus the name Plastic Weld. I was looking at buying [[ASIN:B0006O5I3Y the Plastruct sheet assortment]] to make a case for my [[ASIN:B00L87YMGM Raspberry Pi]] & [[ASIN:B00U21UA16 5" LCD]] when I saw this stuff listed as "frequently bought together". As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted it.
I fully expected this to have a very annoying stench and knowing that "dung happens" (as the Feb 29 reviewer detailed), before I opened the bottle I took a small cardboard box & cut a hole in the top to use as an anti-topple stand for this stuff. As it turns out it doesn't stink any worse than the common "Testors"(TM) cement, but I still did the work in my garage to keep the smell out of the house.
The instructions say to put the pieces together and then apply a "drop" of the solvent to the joint & it will wick into the joint. Well, apparently if you cut the pieces nice & straight & smooth the stuff can't wick into the joint OR else it just evaporated too fast in my cold garage, because the joints broke very easily if I did it that way. You can see in the image of the easily broken bond that the plastic was only bonded at the very edge of the joint, not all across it. What worked best for me was to put a bead of the liquid on the surface where I wanted to bond another piece & then press the other piece onto the bead (see photos of "lay a bead..." & "making a good bond"). I knew it was going to be good if a bit of plastic oozed from the joint. ;~)
I tried this stuff on polycarbonate and polypropylene and it worked well on the polycarbonate but did not affect the polypropylene. And it didn't work on vinyl blind slats either. I got a good edge bond on a couple of "We'll send you a tote bag if you sign up" cards I got from AARP, but it did break when sufficiently stressed (see photos of "good bond"). You can see in the photo of the broken bond that the surface of the bottom piece is rough all across the width of the bond unlike the bond that broke easily. The ink or whatever they use for the coloring on the front face is impervious to this stuff, though--I had to scrape it off in order to bond to the front of the card.

Great for bonding 3D prints with PLA or ABS

I was looking for a good alternative to super glue for bonding pieces of PLA and ABS that were made on my 3D printer. This worked PERFECTLY!!! The pieces I bonded together may as well have been originally made as one piece.
As far as application goes, I did perform a few experiments. It seemed to work best if I applied it kind of like nail polish, then agitated it just a little with the brush, then applied again before putting the two pieces together. The pieces need to be a little glossy with moisture just before pushing together. I would hold it together for maybe 30 seconds or a more. After that, if the edges stuck up a little (surfaces are not always perfectly flat after printing), I would coat those edges liberally and press them together for ~30 seconds. Repeat until you're happy with the look. Don't get too crazy with it, though. It is a solvent, so it'll break down your material if you fuss with it too much. I recommend using a few test prints to get the hang of it.
This really is the best solution I've found, and it's holding up longterm without any discoloration or weakness.

I purchased this product to assemble a model rocket with my son. At first we had some issues with the pieces adhering, but this was due to my lack of patience. After allowing for a few (approx 18-20) minutes to set, the part adhered as expected. As an added precaution, I allowed the rocket to set overnight prior to launch. The take away is that less (glue is more) and patience is key; apply glue, join pieces, take a break, and enjoy!

I have used several bonding agents to put Games Workshop miniatures together over the years. Nothing bonds more permanently with plastic miniatures than liquid cement. This product is the best I have used of the bunch. from the needle applicator to the quality of the product itself it gets the job done in a big way.
Now, before you go throwing this stuff around on your plastic miniatures you must know how to use it properly. This stuff bonds like nobodies business. It actually melts the plastic on both sides of contact and creates a very powerful adhesive. What you want to do is first dry run place all your bits together and make sure you have all the right pieces ready to go. Next, you want to only place this cement on one side of the two plastic pieces you are going to bond. Placing it on both sides is way to much and can cause you to turn too much of your plastic into goo or overflow out beyond the bonding area into the open areas of your model damaging whatever area of the plastic it spills onto. Also, place a tiny, tiny amount. Do not place too much even on one side or you risk the result I just mentioned. This stuff is extremely powerful.
When I say this stuff melts plastic and is extremely powerful think of the acid blood from the Facehugger in the Alien movies powerful! It starts to melt the plastic immediately upon contact. You want to have your bits ready to apply the moment you place the tiny droplet of cement down on the contact points for bonding. Last, you want to have a towel nearby to blot up any extra cement that leaks out onto your model.
Once you have applied this stuff correctly your miniature will be rock solid. It will break on the non sealed portions before giving way on the bonded portions.

I wanted a good quality cement with a applicator tip.
First time using this brand.
When it arrived tip was completely stopped up.
Soaked it in solvent and still could not get anything out.
Finally left it soaking and hunted up cleaning tips for torch tip.
The smallest one fit perfect and after a few minutes I got it unclogged.
A lot of trouble for a brand new bottle of cement.
After that it seemed to work well and the tip is great for
putting it right on the spot.
