Editorial Reviews

Review

"I am always looking for Catholic novels to read and review. Richard Novak's new novel, The Platonia Chamber fits that bill......."
"The novel is nicely written, flows well, despite some rough use of Latin terms in parentheses that distract at the beginning, and gives us brief characterizations.
"If you are interested in what the folks in Syria and Iraq face every day, this book will help you get there."
The Catholic Sun, Phoenix, Arizona

About the Author

This is Richard F. Novak's third book (Topping the Dome and Adelaide Johnson's Portrait Monument). His interest in early Christianity evolved from many visits to Rome and the catacombs of the area. His subsequent research into the history of the catacombs and the symbols used by the Christians to describe their beliefs led him to the story of the Platonia Chamber. Novak is also a retired Professor Emeritus from the College of Medicine of the University of Illinois. During his professional career he also maintained a sculpture studio and has over seventy sculptures in public spaces, corporate, and private collections. Examples of his work can be found in the Gallery Section of the website toppingthedome.com
