This is a super soft and cuddly Teddy Bear, but more than that, it teaches soothing techniques to your child. This is a talking Bear that comes pre-loaded with some thoughtful and positive messages for your little ones. I am not crazy about the voice it uses to deliver these insights, to me it sounds a little emotionless and clinical. I suppose to children, hearing a soothing soft-spoken female voice would be similar sounding to hearing Mom. I personally think a bearish cartoon-like voice would have been a better and cuter fit! ( and maybe a bit more endearing)This is super easy for a child to operate they just have to touch the paw or hand to make it start talking, ( but first Mom and Dad need to pull out the electronic case inside the zipper back to pull the cellophane strip out to activate the battery, then turn it on with the small on/off switch, and place the pack back into the lush body, zipping it closed and then it is ready for play.)This toy bear isn't for everyone, but it is cute, and meditative. It is kind of like a Yoga class for babies and toddlers!Truly a unique and thoughtful gift delivered with some feel-good messaging intended to keep children calm.The bear itself is soft and super snuggly, and just the right size for your little ones.

I purchased this bear for my almost 3-year-old nephew and he loves it. He actually is able to follow along with the instructions and does some of the breathing and counting. It definitely helps to calm him down. My sister has been using the bear in the morning to relax him and get his day started before daycare as he is not a morning person. I even find myself following along to the prompts. This is a really unique toy. It's quickly become his new best friend.

It's cute and soft, and the little one (3 years old) genuinely likes it. But the voice doesn't really seem to calm her. Instead, she tries to talk to it. This is most likely because the voice is a bit robotic and emotionless. I think this would be effective if more care was taken with the voice recording.
I'm not sure why "voice activated" is anywhere in the description because there is no voice activation - the child has the push the buttons.
It's also very easy for the child to get to the battery/voice box, so a redesign may be in order.
Overall, it's a cute and soft bear but I don't believe the included voice feature justifies this price point.

This stuffed bear is super soft and cuddly, and would be a nice cuddle toy even without the talking feature. Before giving it to my grandson, I tried the voice feature, and I agree with one of the other reviewers who said that the description of a voice activation feature somewhat misrepresents what it does. The bear talks when you push buttons on the feet or hands, but it is not activated by your voice. The description should be reworded to reflect that.

The voice is a woman’s voice, not especially soothing, but ok. It’s not grating, but definitely sounds like an adult. The box in the bear’s back needs to be taken out and the tab pulled out before the voice will work. I didn’t really like the zipper for the voice box compartment as it is totally exposed and works so easily that even a small child could unzip it and take out the voice box. It wouldn’t take much to break it. A hidden zipper would have been much nicer. My overall impression is that this is a nice toy and that a child might react positively to the voice if guided by an adult the first time or two. The bear is soft and comforting, so it could be a nice bedtime Teddy bear. I only gave it 4 stars because it does seem overpriced for what it is, the zipper should be covered and the description of it being voice activated is mis-worded.

I know from experience as a dear friend who lives far away sent me one when I lost my husband. She said that when I felt lost and lonely I should grab the bear and give it a hug. And I can honestly say it helped me to not feel so alone, as old as I was. And as upset as I was there was just something about being given a Teddy Bear that seemed to quiet my grief and deep emotions.
So giving someone -- anyone -- this little bear could brighten their day. My bear didn't talk, but this one does, and I think that's a magnificent plus. I can see where it would indeed be calming.
This bear is so soft you can't help but cuddle him. It's a proven fact that touch is vitally important, and this bear seems to beg to be held and cuddled. It's made fairly well so I think it could take a lot of love and hugs and still come out fine. My grandson will love it.
Love is universal, and gets through to children when nothing else will. So giving them a Teddy Bear like this one is definitely a great idea.

I immediately realize that after turning on the bear, my son has no clue what it's saying or what to do. I know this toy is recommended for three and up but I feel like if your child is on the special needs side, this is going to have to probably be used only if they were older or with adult supervision to help them understand. Other than that, I do give this five stars because I love the idea of having a toy that my child can interact with during times when he's upset.
