I love this little starter play-doh set! It has 4 different color play-doh and a whole lot of "tools" to use as well. The tools are perfect size for little hands! My son has no problems using the roller to roll out the play-doh so he can use the cutters to make various shapes out of it. This is also a great set to bring around when traveling. All the tools fit neatly into a sandwich sized bag, are easy to transport, and do not take up a lot of room when you are playing with it.

If I could dock 1/2 a star, I would do so because of the scissors. They are hard for my son's little hands to open and shut and use to "cut". I have tested them out too, while playing with the set with him and even for me, it is not the easiest to use for what it was intended for. Still, it's only 1 of the things out of the whole set that I have a little gripe with. But it can still "cut" the play-doh and I do not have to worry about my son getting hurt using it, so I left my review at 5 stars instead of knocking them down to 4.

My daughter is 18 months old and LOVES playing with this set. Every evening after school she comes home and wants to play with it. She loves a the little tools as they are the perfect size for her little hands. I have so many great memories with play doh growing up and I am super happy that she will too. I bought this set for my three year old grandson, who I watch during the week. Finding things to keep him occupied can be difficult at times. I sat him at the dining room table, let him pick a color, and let him go to town. I think he played with this set independently for two continuous hours. He loved rolling and cutting the clay. The scissors gave him trouble, but he's not accustomed to scissors yet, anyhow. He told me repeatedly, "Thank you, gigi!" I think the next set will be numbers, since he's starting to learn and recognize them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this set again.

I was looking for just some simple cookie cutter type toys for playdoh. This was the only set I found that had multiple tools for under $10. 5 stars for the set and price. Overall it’s everything I wanted, plus extra playdoh. From a quality control perspective though, not perfect. As others mention, the scissors are worthless. Why provide scissors that don’t cut and fall apart easily? Plus the playdoh containers are smaller than expected, about the height of my thumb, and I have small hands. Not a dealbreaker since I just wanted the cookie cutters, but something to be aware of. They could provide more accurate pictures.

This kit has everything we need to keep my 2 year old entertained for more than 10 min. He loves to use the scissors and the pizza cutter. I am a stay at home working mom and I needed something that would allow me to get a little bit of work done. This has done the trick! We have used it almost every day for 3 weeks and the Play-Doh is still soft and easy to use. I love that once the colors dry out all I will have to replace is the Play-Doh and reuse the tools. Very nice and is a cute gift for anyone who would love it.

Everything is great except the scissors

This is an amazing Play-Doh set to start your little one off with. All of the pieces are great (except the scissors). My daughter is only two, and we sit with her and help her to keep an eye on everything as well as show her how to craft, cut, etc. The scissors are okay if you are slow and gentle, but they snap together and when my kid tries to cut, they unsnap and separate. It's easy enough to fix, but she always makes me cut things with them because she can't do it herself very well. I'm sure older kids will figure out how to avoid causing them to unsnap, but even with care, it takes very little effort to slip a bit or push too hard and cause them to separate again.

We bought this kit for my 3 year old son who has a new love for play doh, I wanted to get simple tools for him to use to practice with dexterity. This kit was perfect. It came with 4 shapes and 5 tools. He was able to use the scissors to cut the play doh - please note that the scissors do come apart with a bit of force, however, I think it's more of a safety feature for toddlers and it is also easier to clean the crevice (it was easy to put back in place). The 4 play doh tubs that come with it are small, but it was enough to entertain 2 toddlers for 30 minutes! Bonus!
The kit is affordable as well.
