If you like games like Uno, Flinch, or Phase 10, then this game is right up your alley! Everyone starts off with 8 cards facing down in a 2 x 4 sort of pattern, then each player chooses 2 of the cards to flip up. Then in turn, players draw, maybe replace one of their 8 cards, and then discard a card. The cards go from 0 - 12 and there is also 4 "-5" cards. Object is to get the lowest score by pairing off like cards in the same collumn and also collecting 0 and -5 cards. The round ends if the draw deck is depleated or someone flips up last of their 8 cards, giving each other player one last turn. Gather score for this hole and play eight more holes the same way. Winner is the one with the lowest score. Play nine is a fast fun and light party game.
I bought two decks of this game and had twelve of us play around one big table. This worked well and we had fun, but it did take a lot longer to play each hand. Next time with a big group we will divide into two tables.
You can get stuck with cards you have not turned over and chances are they will not match the one you have turned over. "Usually" it is a high number. It is fun and we have been playing it for a long time, I finally bought our own deck. Suggestion keep your rules available because scoring is a little complicated.
