What I liked about this book was that Garrett willingness to give Kiersten what she thinks that she needs in order to show her that he is a person that she can depend on. Garrett for me was the best in the story. I love that he showed her that he was willing to be there for her and her son. I also liked the ease of the story and writing. Her brother is also another character that I wouldn't mind seeing get his own happy ending.
Did I mention it was frustrating?
I was given an ARC by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I loved Garrett's character. His ability to demand more of Kiersten offset his vulnerable nature perfectly. The author wrote his character with such proficiency. However, the reason I did not rate this story higher was due to my failure to connect with heroine; her often immature behavior left me feeling that Garrett deserved better treatment. I felt my inability to connect to Kiersten was mainly due to a lack of empathy her background story generated. The author presented Kiersten's character as a strong independent woman, yet her dialogue and responses were often childish.
The overall romance was emotionally satisfying. I will checkout the prior installments in this series.

So this Take a Chance series has been making it's way through a connection of people. Try Me (Take a Chance) (Entangled Ever After) focused on Jeremy and Erica, Love Me (Take a Chance) (Entangled Ever After) focused on Erica's brother Thomas and Brianna, and now Play Me (Take a Chance) (Entangled Ever After) focuses on Brianna's sister Kiersten and Garrett. I like when stories in a series can link without depending on the other stories. It's like a happy little community of romance.
This story had my emotions in a vice grip almost the entire time.
Kiersten REALLY rakes Garrett over the coals. But what a lovely story. I'm not sure if there will be more book released in this series, but I hope so.
Kiersten is such a loveable character. Reading this book felt like a flashback to my own crazily hormonal pregnancy. The author did a fantastic job of writing a realistic pregnant woman! I normally hate pregnancies in books because the women seem so unrealistic and even-headed, but this was definitely not the case for Kiersten!
This is definitely a great book to spend a lazy afternoon with. If you're a fan of contemporary romance, pick up a copy!
Note: I received a complimentary copy of this book for honest review.

Garrett has wanted Kiersten since high school. Although she's his best friend's sister, that hasn't stopped his heart from developing deep feelings for her.Read more
