I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking for simple, straightforward ideas for eating healthier. Not only does Dr. Mix give you his top ten healthy foods to incorporate into your diet but he also shows you the way to evaluate the level of nutrition in any food. I have improved our three kids eating habits by just making sure we have two to four of these top tens healthy foods in our daily meals and snacks. Not only is "Play Your Hand Well" easy to read and understand but thankfully it is not a guilt inducing healthy eating book but rather a book that empowers its reader to eat better. The concepts in the book are not overwhelming or rigid and the writing is peppered with personal anecdotes to which we can all relate making the reader feel that it is really possible to play his or her nutritional hand well.
