I've been anxiously awaiting a next generation Battlefront game for years--not just as a casual gamer, but as a Star Wars fan since childhood. I'll raise a little rabble and agree that the omission of Galactic Conquest or a deeper single player campaign is palpable, but that doesn't stop this game from being a really fun (albeit spawn-die-repeat) online multiplayer game. The variety of game modes adds a lot of replay value, as does the points/upgrade system.
The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, and it's no hyperbole when I say I'm living my childhood dreams when I play because of the beautifully immersive worlds and careful attention to the smallest details to place players inside the Star Wars universe, whether players battle on-foot or take to the sky. Adding to the depth of the experience, music throughout the game relies heavily on a remarkable and appropriate original score to complement the standard John Williams fanfare.
Fanboy accolades aside: You should probably buy Fallout 4 first. Despite the great job they did building a fun and beautiful game, EA definitely deserves the ire they've drawn from customers regarding how they're handling the release of DLC. The game isn't nearly deep enough for the $60 price tag, only for EA to tell customers that to get the "full" experience, they'll need to pay an additional $50. If they continue developing and publishing the franchise, I hope they'll invest in packaging the value a bit better for the sake of their customers (but hey, there's profit to be had).
As for the special edition system, I couldn't have asked for a cooler reason to buy a PS4. It's a great collectible for a fan. I paid the price of a standard PS4 and essentially got the game free.

I will repair the machine because I have no choice. If I don’t, its only good for the recycling bin. As you can see from the photos we have a lot of PS4 games. But I tell you, I will never buy another Sony product. Not a T.V., not an appliance and most def not a PlayStation. If you are thinking about buying this then I will strongly recommend you purchase the extended warranty offered by Amazon.

I ordered this PS4 from Amazon on September 14, 2015. We received it on November 15, 2015 (A day or two before the Star Wars movie was released). The system seemed glitchy right from the beginning. We would have to turn it on multiple times to get it to work or it would shut off on its own. I should have immediately sent this back to Amazon for a full refund but we are huge Star Wars fans and I figured that the software updates would take care of it. I had a Playstation in the 90s that worked fine and I thought Sony would stand by its product. Then in 2016 it just stopped working. We sent it in for repairs and it was sent back "repaired ", or so we thought. It was still glitchy but the graphics in the Star Wars Battlefront game are very cool and the Darth Vader graphic on the machine is also very nice. Once again my mistake, I should have sent it back. Now in Feb 2018 the machine just stopped working again and Sony will only repair it if we shell out $99. Now this machine isn’t cheap. Everything about it cost money, the system, the games, the PlayStation online service and the in-game purchases. But if Sony will not repair a machine that has a documented problem then that says a lot to me about how they stand by their products and it should to you also. I have an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Switch that sit right next to the PS4 and they never give us any problems.By Jonathan Garcia Martinez on March 21, 2018
