Construction
The Sony Playstation Move® Charging Station (henceforth referred to as the PMCS) is constructed from heavy-duty plastic and includes an A/C charger which plugs into the back of the unit. The two grooves have a contact at the bottom to charge the controller once it is seated within the unit.
Performance
There is not really a lot to elaborate upon here. Simply put, the PMCS functions as it is designed to; plug it in, pop in your two controllers (note that the ports can charge both the Move® Motion and Navigation controllers interchangeably), and anywhere from a half-hour to an hour later and you will have a charged (set of) controller(s) ready to go for a gaming session. With the flexibility to charge either controller in each port, you will always have whichever device that you use most often at hand!
So, What's the Verdict?
If you have more than one Sony Playstation Move® Motion and/or Navigation Controllers, this charging dock becomes indispensable. It keeps your controllers upright and stored neatly, and can accommodate two of the same or one of each of the controllers for charging. The ultimate in simplicity, you just set the controllers in the grooves in the dock, ensure that the dock is plugged in and getting juice, and let it go! What more could you ask for?
One minor thing about this is it uses the charge lights from the actual controllers. While that's fine and all, but when the controllers are fully inserted to be charged, those lights are partially blocked. I prefer if they used some lighting on the unit itself.
The unit itself is fairly small, which is good. It has an external power brick so that helps to keep the size small. The unit has a decent amount of weight to it and does not feel cheap. The charger can even function as a nice little stand for your controllers to keep them organized for display. If it had 4 ports instead of 2 this would be great. USB ports to charge other devices also would be nice but not needed. Overall, highly recommended.
The only improvement I would suggest is this: If the controller isnt inserted straight up and down, it sits half cocked to the side. This doesnt charge but will hold the controller and it kind of looks like its inserted right. Its just a little confusing at first - probably so it accepts both types of controllers - but eventually you get used to making sure the thing is seated right.

The charger stops charging, when the controllers are fully charged. During charging, the LED on the move controller's will keep blinking.
Best part is you do not need to keep your PS3 on for this charger to work, it directly connects to wall socket & this unit is supporting all internation Voltage range i.e. 110 - 240V. So, no foreign converter needed.
As an additional Info, I found iPAD charger to be working great with all PS3 controller's with the PS3 supplied USB cable. I own a PS3 Ellite Headset & my iPAD Mini charger is able to charge it fully, without any issue. So, if you own an iPAD, give that charger a try to recharge your PS3 move controller, that might work too. However, if you are looking for a docking station for your PS3 move controller, nothing beats this.
I initially bought it because it's Sony and quality should be on par with PlayStation products and was only about 10$ more than third party products.
After receiving the charger today I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it comes with 2 adapters that allow ps4 ds4 controllers to be charged on this charger as well. That alone justifies the extra cost as you can charge move controllers and ps4 controllers with this charger.
